Scotia on the weekend.

Its a bit early, but have a few commitments.

Its getting to the stage in my life where I feel we should just have weekends and cut our losses with the bridging days in between?

The 21st party is on Friday night, Clan Classique runs on Saturday at the big T and we are having a "picnic" on the official birthday on the 19th. I was only keen on the double, but Mrs S. has insisted on the treble! I am sure they have a plasma screen and computer points at "Toadbury Hall"?

We are having a shipwrecked theme at the party and fairly sure most of the guests will be getting wrecked, we even have sand, hopefully not from the Vaal, but get the impression the going could get heavy at the death.

Plenty racing and sport again this weekend, the Champions League has been great and the betting on the last four, Barcelona 19/10, United 5/2, Chelsea 4/1 and Arsenal 5/1, well at least one English team in the final.

The super 14 the Sharks are still favs at 5/2, the Bulls at 9/2, Chiefs 5/1 and Hurricanes 7/1.

On the racing front, 1,000 gns where Rainbow View remains 18/10 fav, with support for Fantasia into 5/1, the 2,000 gns, where Mastercraftsman remains 5/1 fav and support for Delegator into 8/1.

The Scottish Grand National fav remains Chief Dan George at 8/1, the race is this Sat.

On the Idols, Jason remains hot fav locally and it looks like Alan Lambert will beat my fancy, Danny Gokey in the States (but remember they voted for Bush!).

If you are into motor racing Jenson Button is 16/10 to win the drivers championship.

On the local scene, still trying to get betting for Champions Day? Its just over a week to go, couple of my early fancies are Mount Hood for the Derby and Warm White Nights for the Computerform sprint, but looks like a superb card.

On the competition front, will post details early next week on the Hollywood/Champions day! chance to win R2,000.

Must again add that its really giving me a break having an excellent moderator on board, I just think he is shocked by some of the immaturity he has to face on a daily bases, the split and multiple personalities, but you have to take the good, bad and ugly on an open 24/7 site and try and keep the momentum, so its not an easy task, but we will endeavour to keep the entertainment levels as high as possible.

The site has not lost any momentum from a horse racing perspective, but would appreciate more traffic on the other forums ( football, other sports and general) I love some of the contributions and if I could choose one this week I recommend you visit, under general, "who's laughing now!" in addition thanks again to Hibernian for his superb graphics and informative contributions.

good punting and may your God be with you.
