New Trainer?
Old Jockey?
See Carstens back to ride again. Did really well a few seasons back and then gone.

I might be wrong but I think jockey Carstens in an apprentice.
I remember seeing at Ashburton last week a young lad with "Carstens" written on his cap.

No, he's a senior jockey who spent much of his career in America.

Not quite...! Dave Carstens pops up here and there. He rode for a while in Zim. He also rode in Jhb and won on a Hollywood horse at the Vaal about 5 years ago.

Magic, think we are going to have a trivial post for you to answer questions on a separate thread?
Just as a starter who weighed 95 kilos and rode a Derby winner???

Thank you for correcting me and jogging my memory. The young lad I was referring to was "Curling" and not Carstens.

I think Kuit was Doug Campbell's Assistant.
Magic's correct about Carstens.

Yes, Kuit recently worked for Doug Campbell and later for Weiho Marwing's Durban yard.
