Good morning, with no big T, have to look at UK options, not to forget Durbanville.

Bangor: Thats Rhythem is due a change of luck and can win.

Haydock: McCoy the man to follow and his best mounts are Firth of Forth and Peveril.

Lingfield: Jesse James with Ryan Moore should outgun his rivals.

Newbury: Riverside Theatre with Geraghty is the best and the well named Oscar Whisky can also win.

Stratford: no fancies.

good punting!

Scintillo won a thrilling renewal of the sportingbet.com Winter Derby at Lingfield by the narrowest of margins from favourite Premio Loco.

The Clive Brittain pair of Kandidate and Mahadee set a pedestrian early gallop so those held up for a late run were always going to be up against it.

However, that was no worry for Richard Hughes on Scintillo as he had his mount - a winner on Wednesday night - settled perfectly just behind the leaders.

He hit the front with a furlong to run on the Richard Hannon-trained four-year-old but George Baker came with a rattling charge on Premio Loco.

The two were locked in battle for the final 100 yards but it was the 8-1 chance Scintillo who prevailed by a nose with Bronze Cannon a length and three-quarters away in third.

Hughes said: "It was a £100,000 race and Richard said we have to run, even though he only ran the other day, and I agreed with him, we had to. We'd always thought it might take the edge off him but if you'd seen him at the start he was fresher today than he was on Wednesday so full credit to Richard.

"Today the split came at just the right time and the further he goes the better he'll be. The pace concerned me a bit and I thought they were getting a soft lead but luckily they came back to me. I was lucky I kicked when I did."

Hannon's son and assistant Richard jnr said: "Wednesday night did a lot for his confidence, he was struggling a bit with his Group One penalty last year and he's proved himself to be very adaptable.

"I think he'll have a little break now, he's won enough this month! Maybe a race like the Ormonde could be for him and we'll probably enter him for the John Porter."

Chris Wall said of the runner-up: "He's proved he stays. George (Baker) slightly found himself behind a wall of horses so you never know what would have happened if he got a clear run but that was no disgrace at all."
