Race 1 AL BAAQIR
Race 3 CAMPERDOWN (Place)
Race 6 BLUE MAMBO
Al Baaqir consistant enough and Greg should get this one close
Camperdown has to win or place eventually. Used to live there.
Blue Mambo should not loose with a MR far superior to his nearest rival at level weights and a second to BCL. Has won well over the trip.

Arctic Jet, Zola(nap) and Phoenix Ash(e/w) for me. Bluemambo highly rated on one run over a much longer trip, has been beaten in a novice plate before. On pre-Derby ratings the race becomes open, I would respect Imperial Fox and maybe Tara's Call as well.

Bluemambo opens up the MR debate again. MR 103 net rating of 98. huge jump from where he was.
The handicapper is saying that this horse, with the use of a time machine, should have been able to dead heat with Dunford in the Vodacom durban July of 2005. If I recall correctly Dunford won off around 98 mark.
Does this make sense?

Dunford at this stage of his career was no better really than Bluemambo is today. Anyway, we've had a blanket 6 pound hike in 'major' centre MRs since July 2005.

True - forgot about the hike. Still think that Bluemambo should win this.

alcaponee the beauty of racing is that we all should be handicappers and from that you can find very good betting oppurtunities..the officiAl handicappers have got a very hard job especially with the restrictions that are imposed on them which i firmly believe contradict the term of RATING HORSES ON MERIT

Well done to presenter in the parade ring talking to owners/trainers/jockeys giving the public as much info as possible and with a bit luck selecting the winner?
