Coral launch festival money-back concession
CORAL are expecting a flood of accumulator bets linking Binocular, Master Minded, Kasbah Bliss and Kauto Star after becoming the first major firm this year to offer a "non-runner money back" concession for specified Cheltenham Festival bets.
The concession, which begins on Wednesday for wagers placed on the Champion Hurdle, Champion Chase, World Hurdle and Gold Cup, has been activated earlier than usual in a bid to breathe life into ante-post turnover that has stagnated due to the four contests having hot favourites.
Simon Clare, Coral's trading and PR director, said: "All four races have legitimate festival bankers at the head of the betting and we expect the most popular bet tomorrow will be a fourfold accumulator on Kauto Star, Binocular, Master Minded and Kasbah Bliss which at current Coral odds will pay nearly 18-1."
