Another Racing Channel Would be nice don't u think?
16 years 4 months ago
Ello to everyone on this forum..
I'm new to this forum having come across it while surfing the net..
I have been reading some of the thread that have been posted and decided to register and find out if other share my opinion and views..
Firstly.. i'd like to find out if any other Punter and Horseracing fan would agree that the amount of Racing on Telly Track is becoming to much and that they should really look into Adding another Racing Channel for maybe UK & INternational racing only..
I my self enjoy the canter pass and watching the horses strut their stuff in the parade rings.. and i find this isnt really happening cuz like i said there is just to much racing on telly track..
U get a busy Saturday.. like say last weekend on the 24th of Jan.
U had Borrowdale, Kenilworth, Turffontein, and various other UK meetings.. i mean come on.. there isnt even enough time for the poor presenters to fit in their views on the runners of the day..
Now u got the Met coming up on Saturday.. i'm sure like me.. u'd wanna hear wat the jockeys and trainers are saying about their horses of the day after the first couple of races.. but that wont happen cuz.. lets face it their will be uk.. where they run a race in 6mins by the time that race is finish.. the horse are loaded in the pens and the local races are running.. I mean we cant live on crappy race card information alone..
but thats my view.. hopefully some1 else shares it..

Welcome Jimmy and hope you enjoy the site.
I would suggest you go to "search" and request "second channel", "2nd channel", "racing international" etc, etc, we must have a 1,000 posts on the subject.
In a nutshell, could not agree more.
If you are a racegoer, you must go to the track, to me its wonderful, you can watch racing international, tellytrack and the course camera, and if you are bored, you can look out the window!!

It would be nice, yes. So would a brand new Ferrari, a holiday home on the Italian Riviera and a one-night stand with Catherine Zeta Jones.
They all have a reasonably equal chance of occurring in my lifetime, I fear. If any of them by some miracle comes true, it probably won't be the second racing channel...

Morning Magic and enjoyed your examples, however the fact is that we do have a track camera, we do have an international channel and we do have tellytrack, and as I said, I can watch all 3 at the track, the question is how do we get at home?
The current cost of the decoder and the dish to pick up racing international is heavy, but if you have a few bob, it can be done.
Still fancy the second channel, I am too big for the Ferrari, too many Italians on the Riviera for me, the Zeta Jones story, surely the hubby is getting a bit long in the tooth, so a chance there?

Trust me, you'll get into the Ferrari if you try hard enough and there are more Germans than Italians on the Riviera half the time...it also helps if you know where to go. (Portofino - playground of the rich and famous, for instance, not the hunting ground of too many Milanese mechanics on their annual vacation).
Anyway, as for the second channel, I have no doubt that a second channel is not the Mount Everest that we are made to believe it is, but the vibes we keep getting is that we can carry on dreaming for the time being. I am as frustrated as anyone else about having my viewing of racing interrupted by a non-stop barrage of rubbish that I have absolutely no interest in, but before that changes me and Ms Zeta Jones are off in my Ferrari to the airport. We're going to Gino's on the Riviera for supper and then.....
I woke up and my coffee was cold.

LOL; who needs racing at the Vaal when one can be entertained by Clansmen with the gift of the gab? And this afternoon we can take part in the British jackpots - yeah - and isn't this a real opportunity to introduce virtual racing?
Magic, off the subject, I was wondering who is responsible for the detailed comments (dam is a maiden and full sister was a 5 time winner, etc)in Sporting Post?

Frodo, those comments are generated from the file. Sometimes funnies slip in, which we attempt to correct smartly (but sometimes miss). Any errors spotted are welcome, so that we can get rid of them.
