Kenilworth Tuesday!

Good morning, how is the weather down South?
Hope we can get off to a flyer with Sporting Lad and Topless Tower?
What do the experts fancy?
good punting!

Today calm and sunny skies... a few clouds around the mountain (hence near Kenilworth) but not rain threatening... had a fair amount of rain but I am inland so not sure how uch...should not be worse than 'yielding' in the old parlance..

Yes - Shall Be Second will assume its usual position - perfect record of running second with Bernie up(3 from 3).
It should be called 'Shall Be First(In Kimberley)'
Crouching Tiger wont miss in that race.
Also big on Just Banter today - ran well above its rating behind Judged Excellent and Vision Of Grandeur last time, and was 'hot' at this time last year.
Sporting Lad looks a penalty kick.

I agree that Noblewood is a major danger
You certainly have a valid point re: R3 betting. Its not as if Shall Be First is now being ridden by an appy with only a couple of rides behind him.

Dr Who
I would really like Just Banter if the jockey won more than once a month and was not in the running for 'most lasts by %' for the season, or if the jockey/trainer combination was higher than the 1/25 for the past 3 months.
Makes it difficult to wager hard won funds. As it happens, I couldn't resist (more fool me!) a 'handicapping' cert.

I have to go with the Marcus double - Cocoa Beach x Polished Steel. Cocoa to show all how she can run.
As I stated yesterday about the Woodruff runner anything that wins by a street gets my vote and therefore Polished Steel gets my vote.
Find the pricing up to be a bit dodgy. Winning form predicted 4/1 Cocoa Beach and Polished 2/1. Current betting 2.5/1 Cocoa and 2/1 Polished Steel.
Computaform Cocoa 9/2 and Polished 11/2 - Oh how we can dream of such good prices...

There are negatives against him(ie:the jocks lack of confidence and the stables quiet form),but Just Banter is a cracking bet @ 5-1 in my book,I reckon he is close to double the price he should be if he is capable of repeating his last run where imo he ran to about a MR of 85.
He basically dh with Elixir, but the weight turnaround is now 4,5kgs.Cayman Island is = to Elixir on their last run,so he looks held by Just Banter.Scorpion King is held miles on that run.
Noblewood got beaten 1L by D'Vine Prince,in receipt of 3kgs,but Just Banter beat D'Vine Prince by nearly 2L giving him 7kgs,and he only gives Noblewood 2 kgs today,so Noblewood looks held too.Harvest Day is held even further on that run.
Imperial Cossack has been beaten 4.85L previously by Just Banter and is a mere 1kg better off for that run, whilst there is another line through D'Vine Prince in his last run last makes him look held too.
Both Frankie De Wheels and Generous Colt would prefer 2400m,as would Smartine.Smartine did win a 2000m in PE last time, but against much weaker opposition.
Key Castle may prove the main danger,as he did beat Just Banter previously, but imo Just Banter reserves his best for Kenilworth and when the going is on top. There were 5mm of rain overnight, but the track was so firm that it will only help the surface and a pen of 23 is good anyway.
Unfortunately my form has been abysmal of late, but there is no better way than improving it than by putting in the graft, putting the money down when the price is right and praying that today is when things start to turn ones way.Just like when Mckenzie scored 50 after being bowled off a no-ball,maybe today is that day.
I think Just Banter is a cracking bet @ this price, win, lose or draw.

if only the stable was in form...
9 runners this month;
15th,7th,1st,8th,10th,10th,11th,10th,9nth
Oops,not exactly inspiring
November:
16 runners,no winners and only 1 placing a 3rd
