TRAINER Dylan Cunha has decided to withdraw Citizen Dante from being an emergency acceptor in the R2-million Steinhoff Summer Cup and from Race 3, the first of the International Jockeys' Challenge races, at Turffontein on Saturday.

According to his new website, www.cunharacing.com , "In light of the excessive rain we have experienced over the past 14 days ... it has been impossible to exercise our horses properly... we have decided to withdraw Citizen Dante (left) from the Summer Cup as well as Race 3.

"Citizen Dante, unfortunately, also missed his prep run in the Victory Moon due to being scratched at the start and so his fitness level is therefore questionable!

"One lesson we have learned is, that in racing especially on the big days, your prep for your horses must be perfect and your horses must be spot on or you will be beaten."

He continued that Citizen Dante would probably be taken to Cape Town for the Queen's Plate and Met.

Frodo as you know, Red Mist was energency acceptor for the Emerald Casino Cup & he didn't make the final field..... perhaps this is our sweet justice. I hope R.M runs a cracker ( NOT Roy Magner )
