The Inquiry into Jockey Luyolo Mxothwa concluded before an appointed Inquiry Board on 14 May 2026 for the delivery of sanction following his finding of guilt.
Accordingly, the following sanction was imposed in terms of the Rules of the NHA:
Mr Mxothwa's current jockey licence is cancelled with immediate effect.
Mr Mxothwa is precluded from applying for, renewing, holding, or being issued any jockey licence for a period of five (5) years, commencing 23 March 2026, of which three (3) years are suspended on specific conditions as set out in the sanction handed down by the Inquiry Board, as attached.

This is very harsh. A fine and small suspension should have been sufficient.
Why is the same punishment not applied across the board. This is a circus
I think to save face we are not being given all the details....how much money did the jock make...how often have they done this... did the bookie / punter lay the horse on Betfair ...sure lots more...I think of we could see the evidence we would not think it so harsh...I've heard trainers have been approached to stop horses.... We as punters I think only know a tenth of the story...

Wonder what action is being taken against the other parties involved.
Sometimes this game can be very upsetting when you overhear the corruption that is taking place.This is not a thing of today .Those of us that have been in the game long enough know all about the " Graff" concept.
Well done to Vee Moodley and staff ,line up all those that corrupt this beautiful sport and ban them from any participation.
