"Bringing the good name of the National HorseRacing Authority into disrepute"

2. Rule 72.1.26In that, as the rider of GIMME A STORM, he behaved and conducted himself in a manner which has or might have the effect of discrediting horseracing, or which does or might bring into disrepute the good name of the NHA or relevant Racing Operator.
This forms part of the charges and guilty verdict in the Lerena/Gates whipping saga.
I have a simple question - why does the NHA believe it has a good name taking their recent past into consideration?

There was a push for more interaction and a more structured approach a while back but that has fizzled out or communication has totally stopped.
so much for Communication & Transparency building trust.
The NHA is a statutory body and on most days I do not envy the job they have, however there needs to be a serious change.

I'm just watching the details shared by the FBI re Charlie Kirk....they share so much info before the trial even starts...but when it comes to this sacred cow...The NHRA ...you barely know anything....we still have no idea about Peter....and then why on earth did Lerena strike Gates?....I'm 💯 certain in the enquiry Lerena and Gates gave evidence....you can wait for a week sometimes for a stipes report to be published ..that should be done after the last race .... Punters are kept in the dark....who gave these people a mandate to keep information away from the very people that pay them....I have no idea what is actually needed to sustain an objection.... imagine if athletes ran across other athletes in the last 50m of the Olympic 3000m final and the judges say the winning athlete can keep gold even though he's bumped 2 other athletes and cost them medals or injured them...These people need to look deeply into the mirror and figure out what they are doing and why they hide info(just like the replays where a horse breaks down and the tech guys quickly clean it up and we pretend it did not happen)
