A quick update from my side — I’ll be putting the podcast on pause for now, as I experienced a serious eye condition yesterday which required an injection directly into the eye. Not exactly pleasant, but on the mend. So, here’s a one-eyed post to keep things going!
Let’s start with the big news of the week – the meeting between Donald Trump and President Cyril Ramaphosa. Opinions have been flying across social media, but without diving too deep into politics, I believe South Africa walked away with a few positives.
It shone a global spotlight on the serious crime situation in our country — not just for farmers, but across the board. It also revealed the true mindset of some of our political leaders to an international audience. On a brighter note, it looks like we may soon gain access to Starlink — a potential game-changer for connectivity in South Africa.

Speaking of which, the green and pink brigade also fields three contenders in the Daily News 2000 at Greyville, where Eight on Eighteen looks a strong bet to double up with Fields of Gold.
And don’t forget — it’s the final round of the English Premier League this weekend. Fingers crossed for Newcastle to secure a Champions League spot!
