 inquiry H Bowman was advised that in similar circumstances he must stop riding and straighten his mounts when they shift ground before initiating contact. 
They should tell Craig Zackey this.

Maybe I just don't understand the rules but how does Tomyris keep the race???

At approximately the 250m mark, Zackey (Tomyris) takes out all of Lillybelle, Radu and Hodgepodge, the later two are able to re-balance and run on. Is the rule that you can take out other horses and if they do not recover and challenge for the win you keep the race?

Now that is an incident more dangerous than latest pat on the back by Lerena. If Yeni doesn't pull Lillybelle out of the race he most certainly would have come down, but i suppose it doesn't matter as he never headed the winner on the line.
