Vaal 12/11/24 has been moved to Turffontein Inside Track
Please be advised that the race meeting scheduled for today at the Vaal 12 November 2024 has moved to the Turffontein Inside Track.

A meeting decimated by the change in track - all races round the bend meaning that a good draw has now become a wide one - still strange that Fennec Fox has been taken out in the 2nd due to 'change of venue' - as she has won twice around this turn - anyway .... and by the way it still is drizzling where I am, so if it continues at the track we could be in for a postponement .....
I have not been in great form the last few weeks - but still trying ....
R1: I think this could provide an upset depending if the favorites act in the going - if they do, I fancy Endizayo - if they don't, anything is possible
R2: Smashing now drawn wide, does not mean it can't win, but perhaps advantage to Just Var (though not really drawn much better); Bregardt drawn on the inside and may prefer 1000, so has a chance, along with the roughie Delphi Dancer who needed her last start
R3: The Specialist may need further, so I prefer Gorgeous Klein - strange that Zackey is not riding the scratched Count Invicto - maybe he knew it would be an unlikely runner ....
R4: Open, I think Apache Fighter could go close
R5: Open again; Damova may be better further, but still is in form so definite chance even though she is up in the weights; Teo Torriatte the main danger but many of these can feature
R6: Bob's Your Uncle has a lot going for him; Savannah Storm the main danger imo
R7: Simply Majestic drawn widest (only 7 though) but still looks a class above these; perhaps Nkandla Gold can upset from pole position
R8: At the weights, I can't split Cars Big as Bars and Tibetan Voyage - Dancing Dora overdue but has drawn wide
