Summer in the City 💥

Good morning from a chilly and windy Pretoria!

It might be hard to imagine, but the Betway Summer Cup on November 30th promises to be a lively and exciting day. I attended the launch on Wednesday, and they announced a special song for the event—"City Lights" by local artist Ricky Tyler. Thankfully, it’s not the NLE Choppa version I found on YouTube! 🎶 The track will be released soon, so keep an ear out.

On the fashion side, the theme is Racing Silks. I dug out an old set of my racing colors, but they definitely don’t fit my current frame! 😅

Now onto the important stuff—the horses. Bob has already started a thread discussing early contenders for both the Betway Summer Cup and the WSB Met, so be sure to check that out. Ante-post markets should be up soon!

As of writing, we’re still waiting on confirmation for today's PE race card. It’s shaping up to be a good one, and we might see another Hollywood Punters Competition winner with some hot favorites 🔥 on the card.

Looking ahead to Saturday, we have a double header from Durbanville and Turffontein.

Saturday night promises some great viewing with the Joshua vs. Du Bois boxing match, and of course, the Springboks taking on Argentina in rugby.

Don't miss the much-anticipated gallop of City of Troy at Southwell today, and Vauban is now topping the boards for the Melbourne Cup.
