99,99 Lengths behind - Next start what happens???
9 months 3 weeks ago - 9 months 3 weeks ago
Most horses when listed as having run 99.99 lengths behind have either
Broken down
Bled
Equipment failure
or some other major problem. Jockey felt something amiss, compacted etc
in most cases the stipes report will list the reason or advise trainer to feedback as to reason for the problem.
But not always.
Today we had
King of Seville Race 8 Fairview
Ran two week back 99.99 lengths back . Why ? What was advised on such a poor run?
Today still ran badly but only 8 lengths back.
When does this horse arrive at 100/1 because stipes not documenting poor runs.
Not picking this horse out. Just my best example for today

I always remember some of Lester Piggott quotes
We had a horse that used to hang badly to the right and he suggested putting lead in the other ear to help the balance
How should we insert the lead
By using a shotgun.....
