Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Wednesday 17 July - How's the weather?

Last I heard they would inspect at 8am Wednesday

Please note today’s meeting (17 July 2024) at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth has been abandoned.
Gallops were held this morning and in consultation with the jockeys present, it was decided that the track has not made sufficient recovery from the recent rainfall.
A extra meeting will be scheduled for next week. Date to follow.

Further to the earlier release of today’s abandonment, we can confirm that the meeting scheduled for this Saturday, July 20th, will also be abandoned.
Unfortunately, a further downpour is forecast overnight, expected to last until Friday. 
The weather is expected to improve dramatically from the weekend and into the latter parts of this month. 
Initiating an early abandonment allows us to accurately re-schedule the busy period of racing to follow, allowing trainers and stakeholders to plan efficiently.  
A race meeting will be added at Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Thursday, July 25th. 
A further meeting will be added at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Tuesday, July 30th. 
The racing programme for this last part of the season will therefore be as follows:
Mon, July 22: Hollywoodbets Kenilworth
Thu, July 25: Hollywoodbets Durbanville
Sat, July 27: Hollywoodbets Kenilworth
Tue July 30: Hollywoodbets Kenilworth.

Those meetings will be a lottery if they do go ahead as the amount of work missed recently will impact horses fitness.
