Tote Scoop6: could make someone very happy this Saturday

SATURDAY'S Scoop6 is expected to smash the £1 million mark following six rollovers, and a single winner could pick up around £1.5m, according to the Tote, should he or she also land the bonus fund.

The six races on Saturday are divided between Ascot, Newmarket and Wetherby. The win fund builds from £712,056, and the bonus - which can't be won until next Saturday at the earliest - from £336,367.

Totepool spokesman Paul Petrie said on Friday: "This is the second biggest win fund rollover of the year and the last time, back in August, we were able to declare a £1 million dividend. No doubt punters will be hoping for a similar outcome on Saturday."

1.35 Ascot, 2.05 Ascot, 2.10 Newmarket, 3.00 Wetherby, 3.20Newmarket, 3.55 Newmarket

Scotia the Scoop6 is "expensive" £2 a unit and no fractional betting..so if you want to take a nice spread to adds up to a lot. If they brought it down to a quid then more people will play.

THE Tote Scoop6 has gone begging for the seventh consecutive Saturday, meaning that the win fund alone will be worth well in excess of £1 million next weekend.

The win fund has swelled to £952,114, with the bonus fund - which can't be won until November 15 at the earliest - building from £439,249.

The victory of 33-1 shot Lucky Dance in the fifth leg of Saturday's bet at Newmarket put paid to all surviving ticket holders.

Magic million up for grabs in Scoop6

The November Handicap, for which Electrolyser (pictured) is a leading fancy, features among the six races in the pool

AN opportunity to join the exclusive bunch of betting shop millionaires will be on offer on Saturday when truly life-changing sums will be up for grabs in the Tote Scoop6.

The popular pool bet has proved beyond punters for the last eight weeks and with the win fund already standing at £952,114, a single winner is guaranteed to pick up the magic million.

It is four years to the day that Stuart Bolland became the first ever betting shop millionaire and with a further £439,249 already in the bonus fund, one of the biggest payouts in British betting history could be on the cards. Punters need to unravel the five races from Doncaster on the final day of the turfFlat season and Wincanton's Badger Ales Trophy that forms the Scoop6 before chancing their arm at the bonus race next week.
Totepool spokesman Damian Walker said: "This weekend four years ago we created the first betting shop millionairewhen greater Greater Manchester punter Stuart Bolland picked up a cheque for £1,132,657 and a single winner of the win fund would almost certainly top that huge total.

"Should any players successfully navigate their way through all six legs this weekend there's also the added carrot of a huge bonus fund to be played for the following Saturday."

Should the big staking syndicates flex their wealthy muscle on Saturday then the amount in the pot could get close to the largest ever Scoop6 win dividend- £1,519,304 - won by Richard Brocklebank aka the Scoop6 Squirrel on Champions Day in October 2007.

Scoop6 races
1.30 Doncaster, 2.05 Doncaster, 2.35 Doncaster, 3.10 Doncaster, 3.25 Wincanton, 3.45 Doncaster

Scoop6 stumps punters to leave record rollover

A SINGLE Scoop6 winner could pocket a record £2 million for one day's work next Saturday after the Tote's hugely popular bet frustrated punters for the ninth week running and, by doing so, created the organisation's biggest ever rollover.

After an afternoon when the final two remaining tickets were foiledin the concluding leg of the bet, a total haul of nearly £3 million is distinctly possible should one punter empty next Saturday's win fund and go on to find the winner of the bonus race seven days later.

An already substantial sum of £952,114 sat in the win fund prior to the start of punting on Saturday's selected races at Doncaster and Wincanton. That had risen to £1,303,036 by the time the last investments were made, but not a single ticket holder survived the six legs.

Records are now set to besmashed with the enormous win fund rollover bolstered by £589,644 in the bonus fund pot. The previous biggest Scoop6 rollover was in May 2007 when nearly £1.7m was bet on the day, producing a pool of £1,054,523. The largest win dividend in Scoop6 historywas the £1,519,304 won by Richard Brocklebank, aka the Scoop6 Squirrel, on Champions Day in October 2007.

Saturday's place dividend paid £174.80 and was won 1,147 times.

In fact Cat, just having a look at the current page, we have 4 items on UK, 20 items on local and 5 ? soccer/rugby/fun.

So the balance is probably correct.

Scoop6 races could be announced on Thursday

FORTUNE-SEEKERS could be given extra time to hunt for the winners that could help them land Saturday's biggest ever Scoop6 pot after it was revealed on Tuesday night that talks are taking place to enable the six races to be nominated earlier than usual.

The six components of the Tote bet are normally decided upon on Friday, but such is the interest in this week's Scoop6, which is likely to have a win fund of around £2 million, that the organisers are attempting to announce which races will feature on Thursday.

The Tote is negotiating with Wetherby, Channel 4 and the BHA to ensure the six legs are as competitive as possible, which could require the possible incorporation of an extra race from Wetherby into Channel 4's live schedule.

Jason Brautigam of Totepool said: "We are keen to give everyone as long as possible to study the form for the six races, and we want to choose six races that will create the best chance of a huge dividend.

"We're hopeful that by Thursday morning we'll be in a position to announce exactly which races will be included in what is sure to be an exciting afternoon."
