Keep on Running πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ πŸ’ͺ

Good morning all and I hope you enjoyed yesterday's racing at Hollywood Scottsville.Β

It really lived up to the hype and some fantastic races were witnessed.Β

My highlight was Lucky Lad winning for obvious reasons πŸ˜‰Β
It was an amazing ride from Richard, now on 321 with 14 to go for record and Tarry showing his dominance again on the big sprint day.
Plus we must spare a thought for our friend Johno's horse, Melech who received a serious bump from Muzi's mount at the start and actually managed to finish faster than the winner from a hopeless position. πŸ‘

The KZN season could not be better and it looks like we have some mouthwatering racing ahead and I must say Lucky Lad is very special.Β
The Gold Challenge should be another cracker. πŸ‘

Another unlucky runner was Gimme Countess.
The winner Quid Pro Quo also had hectic traffic problemsΒ

City of Troy proved that Obrien and Moore were πŸ’― correct about their Champion winning the Betfred Derby for a record 10 times for Aiden. I fancy COT to win the ARC πŸ˜‰

My R60 jackpot returned R1228 so no complaints from me.

The good horses did "keep on running" and on that note you'll be aware that the Comrades Marathon takes place next weekend and I'm proud to say that my Iron Man son has decided to give it a shot.....πŸ™πŸ’ͺ

The Marathon reminds me of the time that Ghandi asked Nelson Mandela about it and mentioned that they had consideredΒ  having such a race there but with the population of India being so massive they felt it would be too chaotic to have a free for all in terms of entrance. They would therefore have to put in many restrictions in order to cope.
To cut a long story short the final decision (for many reasons unknown to us) they decided to limit entrance to males only who had to be between the ages of 15 to 20 and none of them should have testicles πŸ€”.Β
500 people qualified.Β
They also realised that they couldn't use the name Comrades Marathon as in SA and came up with a new one - yes you got it!
"The Indian Knackerless 500". πŸ€πŸ˜…

As far as the song choice this time, Stevie Winwood was one of my favourite artists and was originally the lead singer for the Spencer Davis group.

Good Punting πŸ‘Β
