SInce i've been a kid, Telefunken TV has been my go to brand! Are you in a position to advise whether Gallop TV brand is a better and reputable brand? I'm assuming you have  no conflicts of interest here.

Ps. My B&W Telefunken from 1976 works just fine and gives me the joy of shouting every winner or every race over the finish line...very rarely do I collect, but i get joy

Does this thing need a dish? Or just the decoder fine?

anyone,will Single line,cable splitter adaptor work with both DSTV and Gallop TV?

Also is there one remote to control all decoders?
Out of Province holders,will these decoders work in rest of SA?

......basically this seems to be an openview type decoder which should work on a DSTV aligned dish.....if one has a DSTV smart LNB with a universal port then this is where to take a cable feed to this decoder....also one can use one of the older DSTV twin LNB's to take a/one line to the decoder.....

Muhti, that is all greek to me. Can I have this decoder with the existing DSTV set up?

......depends on the LNB on the dish.....and which LNB(and when) it was initially installed as the more newly installed DSTV decoders using newer smart LNB's  nolonger have a universal port connector....thank Multichoice for ending potential FTA competition by doing away with this feature...an older smart DSTV LNB with universal connector is about R700 these days.....plus an installer is going to charge R1200+ to connect you with another cable to the LNB dish....these days with Racing Today I stream and watch from a laptop....while TV is on doing Youtube for replays
