Weekend, go ahead and JUMP.
1 year 1 month ago
I am jumping in early as its the last big jump meeting from Aintree over the next three days.
The Scottish National is on the 20th next week, but Aintree is the last big festival.
In my opinion the trainer to follow on day three of the Liverpool festival is Gordon Elliott.
Below is some of the highlights to follow with more details appearing on the site over the weekend.
Thursday:
Grey Dawning and Sir Gino can give us an early double for the kitty.
Shishkin is one of my favourites but is in a very open race .
Bob Olinger vs Impaire Et Passe.
Friday:
Mystical Power for Mullins.
Jonbon for Nicky Henderson with some cheek from Sir Alex with Protektorat.
Saturday:
Brighterdaysahead for Elliott
Teahupoo another strong Elliott runner.
Corach Rambler for the National, note! Elliott has Delta Work😉
Found a Fifty to make it a great day for Gordon.
Recommendation is a few exotics over the 3 days.
Local Racing:
PE Friday
We hope Anuschkas World can make amends in the opener with Stergio's silks.
Ziets looks like he is getting more support and we cross our fingers for a good day.
Double header locally on Saturday where competitive cards at Kenilworth and Turffontien are on offer with more details to follow.
We still have another big meeting up North on the 27th
before the KZN season kicks in and GC have another massive injection from the Hollywood team to ensure some class fields and great racing👍
The football is reaching a climax with some very exciting games.
The Champion league:
After the draws 2-2 and 3-3
Approx odds to lift Cup:
Man City 16/10 with Arsenal, Real Madrid and the Germans around 6 and 8/1ish
Premiership:
16/10 City, Gunners 18/10 and 5/2 Pool but the Pool still evens for the UEFA 👍
Hearts 😍 have tried hard in the Scottish Premiership but no match for the old firm where the Gers are slight favs over Celtic.
Let's enjoy this last few jump races before we jump into the flat season.
I did want to keep away from wars and politics but they are coupled on the tote but the Zuma appeal left me shocked 😡, it should give the ANC a headache 🙂.
The wheeling and dealings will be mind boggling and Cyril will have to tell Jacob where to buy a couch 🛋
Good Punting 👍

If anyone else says to me jump racing is not safe!
Just tell me if it's safer running clean or being milkshaked?
How many SA Flat horses disappear at 3? What happens to them?
Some Jump horses race until they are teenagers and most don't debut until they are 5, and live in fields

And what happens to the very few Flat horses that get a forever home? Most end up jumping poles and doing cross country.. Or even worse going for Sunday rides with 90kg lard asses on top

bob horses have a pretty raw deal in general ,but i suppose we all do life is a bitch most of the time for most of us. that said much as i love jump racing it is extremely dangerous for horses. the death figures are the worst of any equine discipline. im not sure i could own national hunt horse the risk of a horse dying would definitely outweigh the pleasure for me.
