Both Sides Now
1 year 7 months ago
Good afternoon as we reach another massive sporting weekend with an early post from Scotia as I have an early start on Friday.
Note! All prices are approximate.
I am sure we have enough information on the World Cup Rugby 🏉 semi finals and barring any major surprises we can expect a mouthwatering final between NZ 1/10 on Friday and on Saturday SA are 1/5.
However 1/5 shots do get beat 😪
We don't always get a R40 tote payout on a 1/16 shot and a R1.00 tote win on a 60/1 shot on the same day 😉
It was an interesting week.
UK Racing: We have the Champions Day from Ascot on Saturday, weather is rather hectic.
Long Distance: Kyprios 13/10 vs Trueshan 2/1
Sprint: Kinross 18/10 but not cut and dry
Queen Elizabeth: Paddington 15/10 vs Tahiyra 4/1 clash could be off due to the weather and should be a gift for the "Bear" unless Tahiyra gets the all clear?
Champions stakes: Bay Bridge 4/1 King of Steel 4/1 Horizon Dore 5/2 and Nashwa in a very open affair.
From Australia: We have the Cup from Caulfield for the early risers.
Gold Trip 6/1 should be the fav but West Wind Blows 7/1 is preferred. Okita Soushi 20/1 a big outsider for quartets.
Include the following in your exotics
R1 Brave Mead 16/10
R2 Riff Rocket "best bet" 5/10
R3 Tropical Squall 2/1
R6 Spacewalk 15/10 ( remember it won July on disqualification) 😉
On the Local front we have
Fairview Poly Friday.
Plus a double header on Saturday which should be a very busy day
Durbanville
Tail of the Comet 6/10 is banker
Trip of Fortune 13/10 also good
Turffontien
Champagne Cocktail 4/10 looks special
Charity Mile 28th October
Winchester Mansion 9/2 fav
Graham Beck 28th October
Sandringham Summit is 15/10 to beat Main Defender 22/10 which should be the crowd puller on a great day for a worthy cause .
Summer Cup 25th Nov
Winchester Mansion and Safe Passage top the boards around 6/1.
Met :
See It Again and Charles Dickens top the boards around 7/2
Richard Fourie should win the jockey championship and 4/10 is a decent 40% investment 👌
Football where the big clash is Chelsea vs Arsenal
Liverpool, Man City and Newcastle looks a good treble.
I feel totally sick watching the current events that are happening on the planet and man's inhumanity to man ( or woman and children) 😪
It was difficult for me to even consider a song at this stage but Joni Mitchell's "Both sides Now" probably is appropriate.
"It's life's illusion I recall, I really don't know life at all"
Good Punting and may your God be with you 🙏

Space Walk ,if I remember well, think Pas De Quoi objected against Surfing Home and then Space Walk got it.

Really looking forward to the Rugby on a special day for horse racing and the football ⚽️ looking good 😉
Champagne Cocktail does look special
Trip of the Comet also very special
The French horse Big Rock amazing front running win
Frankie was brilliant but his win on King of Steel was probably one of his best rides ever 👏 👍
Plus Richard hits the front in Jockey championship
What a great day and a massive challenge to chill 😎 before the Rugby 🏉
