Just another few BRICS in the wall.
1 year 9 months ago
Good morning all as we head towards another Punting weekend.
On the news front I see that BRICS has a few new partners and I did notice on Facebook that Cyril has been given a massive new red leather couch from China.
I think what we might be missing is that when we do get into bed with the Chinese re: manufacturing.
They will either be supplying directly from China or will open factories here with labour that will basically live in the plant and work efficiently for hours & hours which our labour force and Union leaders will have no idea how to handle, labour laws not withstanding.
Our new partners are still far away from recognizing any equality in regard to women and their rights.
Let's not even talk about the Russians as Putin has taken events to another level.
I probably wont be around to witness the above events unfold but I wish them every success.
As far as racing and sports this weekend.
We have entered day three from York and the bookies are well in front but at least Savethelastdance ran a place at a reasonable price but I felt Ryan used strange tactics?
However I can never be a critic of Ryan or Frankie at anytime and this week has had some incredible clashes .
Day three gives me some confidence that the punters can have a good day and my best bet of the festival is Highfield Princess but the 28/10 has gone but 17/10 still OK.
In addition the rest of the card looks reasonable and exotics are catchable.
Second race is a three way contest Courage Mon Ami is fav with Frankie in the saddle and is my 3rd choice, Coltrane is one of my favourite horses but I am going for Tom Marquand to try and steal the race with another bold running front performance with Quickthorn.
Third race a match race with Kylian and Johannes Brahms with only Kings Gamble a possible danger.
Highfield Princess banker
Take your own pics on the balance
Was very upset that channel 207 did not show day 2 after superb coverage on day one. Not sure if it's back on TV?
Day four can also be a reasonable day
Nostrum in the opener for Ryan
Kinross for Frankie
Sweet William for the Ebor
Purosangue
All possible winners on the last day.
Other options today :
Ffos Trooper Bisdee is riden by Miss Poppy Scott
Newmarket where William Buick is riding instead of York and will have a winner or two.
Big Rugby tonight, it's a friendly but All Black's and Boks have pride and should be a cracker .
The heart should not rule the brain so cant punt against the All Black's and they should win the World Cup.
There have been discussions on ABC re: the Equus awards and again well done to the winners! A few suggestions for the way forward have been placed on ABC which the organisers may wish to consider.
Naresh posted that when Warm Heart won at York it was the 99th Group one winner for the great Galileo.
Good Punting 👍

Another great post Dave
Talking about partners, can we please ask our members and readers to support ABC by signing up to any of the bookmaker’s advertising on the site.
This is a soft sell and not a plea.. And remember shop around and BET SMART

we dont need no education
we dont need no thought control
anc theme song
this is terrifying. if the west cut off all aid and trade access to the developing brics nations do they really think russia and china will take up the slack
can they actually afford to.
they hate the white man and colonialism so much they would rather give themselves up the arse with a cactus.
between this lot and trumpie and putin we are in huge kak.
the end is nigh i tell you
we dont need no thought control

Good morning on day 4 and the final day at York .
It's been a rough ride for the punters this week and the bookies have been "Living the Dream" the fairytale winner for the connections and a nightmare for Highfield Princess backers, I always thought the Princess would catch the dream 😪
A special mention for Dylan and Greg winning with Silver Sword that was well deserved and very proud of the lads 👏
I never that thought I would have had to rely on Miss Poppy Scott and William Buick for a couple of winners to cut my losses.
As far as last day at York I have lost a bit confidence but a win on Sweet William is my play.
Also will play a bit with Nostrum with Moore, Kinross with Dettori, Purosangue with Murphy.
I never thought a friendly match would change the World Cup betting but well done to the Boks
Best prices are NZ 33/10, France 4/1, SA 9/2 and Ireland 5/1
Good Punting 👍

A slight correction
"Live in the Dream" not "Living the Dream" and to make it more complicated "Live your Dream" runs today 🙃
