Rest In Peace Derek Watts

Carte Blanche renowned journalist Derek Watts has passed away.

Watts lost his battle with cancer earlier today.

May he Rest In Peace.

Nice man I met him once.

We were at Milies food market on the way to Swaziland many years ago when Carte Blache was in full blast with Derek and Ruda his Co host.

Mrs S friend Valerie was with us at the table and loved Derek from a far and shook my arm and says Dave look who is here.

As he walked passed our table I jumped up shook his hand and said Ruda I love your show.

Valerie nearly died as I brought him to meet Valerie, he took it in good fun and was a good man exposing many bad guys

Agree, it was sad to hear...when Carte Blanche ended every Sunday night, you knew it was the end of the weekend...

Derek Watts and Ruda Landsman were fearless in exposing the many crooks in our midst and set the ground for so many other investigation-type programmes...
