The bookies definitely know more about the well-being of the horse than anyone else...

Barak went from 5s to 14s. I guess they never knew!

Nel's horses earlier never run to expectations so in my opinion hence the drift. Even Kotzen horses from the Cape got beaten.

.....should have been a very big day for me.....I dont know if it was due to load shedding but when the power went down so did WSB, Tote old site, ABC and others yet I was able to stream with moblle data on the new 4racing but had no money in that account....missed huge place and big swinger bets.....

The last Port Elizabeth based horse to win the Gold Cup was Cereus.

Before that was Stateway who won at any odds beating Surfing Home.

Hermoso Mundo, won the Gold Bowl, the Gold Vase and the Gold Cup in the same season.

Just to note, when Cereus won, Tatler also won a feature race for Greeff on the same day.
