Race 6 - jockey stopped riding the 6 in the last few strides to lose 3rd place to the 2...

Does van Niekerk have a problem trying to balance - he seems to favour trying to go "left" down the inside and keeps have the door shut on him. From last, the simplest option has to be down the middle.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Ya saw that.
Maybe Fourie thought the horse in front of him was going to cut him off but watching the head on I think he had enough space down the inside to carry on riding.

Fourie rode the 6...found a way to get it out of the places after he had got ahead of the 2 prior to the last few strides when he stopped riding...

van Niekerk has an wheel alignment problem...only looks to go to the inside rail...

You will always get a ride from GVN nearly every meeting that we question his judgement

Durbs, he keeps repeating the same error, he's obviously not learnt anything, for someone who rode in Hong Kong, maybe get someone to explain to him in Chinese the error of his ways.

Uncalled for, a fine. Jockeys don't do that to him when he finishes in second place.

The way the rules are flagrantly violated is an indictment of the officials in charge.

Nobody cares.
