No racing on Sunday

Please note HWB SCOT has received 38mm of rain, currently raining & forecast of further showers. The racemeeting scheduled for Sun 22-May has been postponed to Wed 25-May & the racemeeting scheduled at HWB GREY/P on Wednesday is postponed to Friday Night 27-May. Race times TBA.

Morning all and unfortunately no local racing today but before we watch the wrap up of the EPL we have a few overseas races to keep us occupied.

Hong Kong is well underway.

The big meeting today is from the Curragh in Ireland.

The Dubai Turf winner (dead heated) Lord North runs in the group 1 Gold Cup and Frankie's mount is around 5/2 in a very competitive event.
The best bet of the meeting should be PEARLS GALORE in the group 2 Lanwade Stud Stakes.
The Irish 1000gns is also an open affair where TUESDAY is the fav on a Sunday.
We were able to secure 2/1 on Emily Upjohn after Native Trails impressive win.
The main rival to Emily in the Oaks is currently Tuesday and it's performance today will change the ante post prices.
Tuesday is around 28/10 but Homeless Songs 9/2 is strong opposition.
Ryan Moore/ Aiden Obrien should close the meeting with ARK and we probably need a few in KZN if the weather continues.

Also racing from Nottingham where William Buick as normal is the man to follow and SECRET STATE will again see the mighty Appleby combination in the winners box.

Fakenham where we have a rather uninspiring jumps meeting.

York has an evening meeting and Walbank should go one better after an excellent second on debut.

Soccer has been another miserable season following Man Utd. So will be happy to see the end of the season and hope next year is a little better.
Tomorrow at Ballarat debut for Hotzel half sister to Soqrat.

Hotzel has been nominated to run 14 Feb 2023.

Beat Humming in a trial end of Jan 2023.

the horse that won the trial Sirius Statement also won over the week end.

I haven't watched racing in a while.but why did trials stop?
