Winning Ticket

Caught the the vaal P6 & Jackpot on Saturday.
Went yesterday to cash in the tickets.Collected the cash for the P6 but was told the jackpot ticket is a losing ticket.Checked and re-checked the numbers all in order.Even the tote lady was as confused as me as to why it kept on saying 'NOT A WINNING TICKET'.She even checked the P6 ticket and compared it to the Jackpot ticket and the numbers from the 5th race to the 8the race was the same......
Did not have the patience to argue so left it at that....
Any help/advise as to how to resolve this matter will be much appreciated.

I got hold of TAB customer care line and explained to them the situation.....
Afer checking the ticket number i am told that the ticket was cancelled a minute and 4 sec after i had played.
I never cancelled the ticket so it can only be the tote woman who cancelled it....

I was then informed by TAB to go back to to the tote where i played and i will a get a full refund...........which is total bull*hit......

This must be a rare case cos after this fiasco i will even try to cash in all losing tickets just in case its 'CANCELLED'.......you just never know.....

Perhaps Mr H can shed some light on this.......

have heard this before where the ticket seller then takes the bet outlay assuming you wont win the bet

Went to the tote after work and the full payment of the jackpot ticket was awaiting for me......
No explanation given as to how and why the ticket was cancelled. Just a shrug of the shoulders and we don't know sir.
I wonder how many poor other suckers fell for this scam.........

Would hope they tracked down the operator that "sat" on the ticket and took disciplinary action?

Sap, They must read ABC - or someone, that reads ABC 'tipped them off'?

Anyhow, what was the amount for? Don't spend it all - I'm about the 19th Oct, so get your drinking legs with ya!

Jim , the winning amount does not matter,its the mere fact that i was almost cheated out of a winning ticket that worries me.
After this incident I am very sceptical about playing on the tote anymore.
My main investment is the P6 where i play between R500-R700 and I hate to think what will happen if that is 'MYSTERIOUSLY' cancelled.......

See ya on the 19th and don't worry will keep some of these pennies for some heavy drinking..........
