4racing and Kommetdieding

Does 4racing plan on making us sick of our favourite horse? They loop the same segment endlessly.

I still maintain that Kommetdieding should not have gone to Gauteng. The connections took a brave decision here and I hope it works out for all.

Hi the Duke. Why do you think that?

Hi Mac.... I feel that the altitude in that centre can affect some equine athletes more than others in terms of raiding from the Cape. One never knows if this can affect his equine pursuits going forward but I guess all factors were considered before they decided to go to Gauteng.
I don't think Pocket Power went the Gauteng route before coming to KZN and it paid off.

Also Inara won the Empress Club and the Garden Province not so long ago.
They might be others that have won as well.

Majestic Motzart ran at Durbanville and a month later won at Turffs ...almost won summer cup and has won 3 races since relocating ...I have more of a problem with horses traveling to cape Town and then returning to Gauteng... sometimes they take a while to find form again...

Compare the ratio of the Cape Strike Rate to the Highveld SR with the ratio of Cape Runners Per Race to the Highveld RPR.
Only for those highveld races which include the Cape variable.
Who has the data base to do this?

There is a big difference between a quick raid and moving a horse to Gauteng for an extended period.
I think that they have done absolutely the right thing with Kommetdieding- there are two Gr1 races at his mercy if all goes well, and they have given him ample time to adjust to the altitude. The Turffontein track will suit him. Success in these two races will probably ensure Equus horse of the year.
The KZN season has the Challenge 1600m where Jet Dark will be hard to beat that trip; the July where he will have to give weight all around ( crazy that he is antepost favourite) and the Champions 1800m which is probably his best shot at a Gr 1 in KZN this season.
(Jet Dark vs Kommetdieding reminds me of Variety Club vs Jackson- the former superior at 1600m and the latter at 2000m)
There aren’t enough examples in recent years to make CT raid stats useful, except that a number of sprinters have successfully raided the Computaform sprint from CT and even PE. Eg. What a Winter; Rio Querari; Copper Parade.
6 weeks is probably sufficient time to adjust to the altitude for most horses over ground.
If 4Racing is serous about getting the best fields for our gr 1s then they should lay on flights for raiders between Jhb and CT for the big days.

Michelle knows what she is doing - the horse is well and I think it will take something very special to beat him in either of these upcoming races.

AS far as I can believe Is that Kommetdieding was send to JHB nearly a month ago and i see no problem with it unless the info I read was incorrect
therefor the horse should be well climatized
Holding Thumbs to the connections
