My biggest financial loss was on a Mike Bass horse about 15 years ago. I was assured by Bass himself that the horse would win or at worst go second. So who wins? Low and behold Mike Bass' second entry outsider wins by 4 lengths and the horse he assured me of ran stone cold last. We had some words, but it was a very expensive lesson...liked maxed credit card expensive. Took me 3 years to pay off the credit card debt. Yep I know, stupid.
