Is Desert Miracle worth 5/10?

I can't wait for Tuesday night....but given the delay it made me think a bit a longer....especially around the 06th race with the fillies... I know this is a brave thread which some may laugh at.

Dessert Miracle may turn out and win by 5, but I like the other two De Kock runners Bold Act and Clafoutis along with Rain in Holland along with the favorite.

My thoughts, Dessert Miracle is by Welwitchsa and to my knowledge the dam never won beyound 1400m, and in the Cape although she was running on, she was never catching Chansonette over 1600m. And given her draw of 10 with a few frontrunners pushing for the lead she could be jostled back in a big way over, over the tight standside track that favors low draws especially over 1400m to 1600m under the lights for first time on a soft track that would make this more like a 1700m race...

Again she could win by 5.

For me Clafoutis ran a cracker against males over 1800m, the way she quicken up at the 400m was impressive and was caught on the line. Like wise Bold Act...was stone last over 1600m and won like a champ in the last 200m. And given that Rain in Holland just ran a few lengths to War of Athena and a grade 1 winner over 1600m we can't leave her out.

All of these horses are running with the same form, a length or two here and there. On the line of form to Eternity Ring over 1400m and 1600m respectability both Dessert Miracle and Rain in Holland shouldn't be far apart.

I will not banker her in, although I know she is classy

Interesting topic.

Let me say, I was at the stables yesterday and the dogs were barking, the Egyptian geese were gargling and the stable cat was meowing.

Dessert Miracle is special.

If you consider its only "evens" for the triple tiara, is certainly short for the 3 legs.
Plus if we were sure the July was part of the master plan 14/1 would be the best option for a punt?

So at this stage I think the 11/20 with WSB is worth a punt.

Good Punting 👍

@KAOTIC Are you having a laugh? While we are all entitled to our opinions, the subsequent runs of Chansonette should leave you with no doubt as to the ability of Desert Miracle.

5/10 is a gift it wont last, fill yer boots

I agree on the Triple Tiara view. A better bet is take the double. Fill yer boots.

If it was not for the poor form of the TARRY yard, I would make RAIN IN HOLLAND the horse to beat.

It will love going over the 1600m and has beaten CLOFOUTIS in the past conceding weight!

Better bet would be Double Superlative to win the July at 10/1. Fill your socks there.

Interesting opinions - for me I will not take 5/10 on any horse - that being said I certainly won't back against DM in the
Guineas - all the others are held and the only possible danger imo on strict form would be Follow Me - but that one is drawn even wider that DM.

The evens being touted for the Triple Tiara I think is not any value at all seeing that DM may not see out the 1800 of the Classic and if she does get beat there, I doubt that she will run in the Oaks

And as for Double Superlative in the July - with that rating he can start now

I am hoping to secure 11/10 if the first fav at Fontwell wins at 9/20 😉
