Under Pressure 2021š¤§

Good morning all as we say goodbye to 2021.
I am sure the song that comes to mind is āUnder Pressureā as we say good bye to a horrible year for many.
We can only hope that 2022 will improve the situation and we can celebrate the New Year in style.
My other song choice was Landslide by Fleetwood Mac but the final blow to the year was that our New Year function, a tribute to the great band has been canceled due to a singer having tested positive for Covid.
We are trying to find an alternative function for New Yearās Eve.
I was fortunate to catch a performance last week of this exceptional show but disappointed I canāt share it with friends.
So we end the year Under Pressure with weather conditions which are hard to control, Covid which could be on the decline, the current state of racing, not sure what to say, maybe it can only get better š¤we certainly need more transparency, improved customer service and the tote up and running efficiently.
My last post on Boxing Day turned out to be a cracker with all the hotties arriving and some great performances for our CHELTENHAM black book.
Namely: Shiskin, Sir Gerhard, Ferny Hollow, Edwardstone, Honeysuckle, Galop Des Champs, Bravemansgame, America Mike , Allaho, Klassical Dream, Champ, Fil Dor and A Plus Tard are all to be followed.
On the local front some good racing from the Cape, also a center Under Pressure.
On the positive, the 8th Jan where WSB have priced up on Premier Trophy, Queens Plate, Chairmanās Cup and the Paddock Stakes where Captains Ransom 5/2 vs WOA 3/1 is my choice of the big clashes on offer.
The big race of the weekend is the third race from Turffontien on New Year Day where Humble Tune has been priced up at 10/1 and Muzi will be Under Pressure to win from that draw, but our other option on the 4th Jan we also had poor draw. I will be having my normal ew to hopefully start the New Year with a bang.
Looks like Manchester City have already won the Premiership and have taken a punt on Newcastle to avoid relegation as my only hope.
I wish all our posters, sponsors and readers a great New Year as we say good bye to the Auld Yin and hopefully the pressure starts to lift .
Good Punting

One of Cheltenhamās biggest crowds outside the festival is expected on New Yearās Day with track supremo Ian Renton looking forward to racegoers enjoying āa day out in the openā at a meeting without severe lockdown restrictions in place.
Five days after Chepstowās Welsh National took place behind closed doors, Cheltenham, 40 miles away but on the other side of the border in England, is being readied for an attendance of 30,000.
In contrast to Wales, and Scotland, where Musselburghās traditional New Yearās Day meeting will be without paying spectators, only limited Covid-19 restrictions currently exist in England.
Those heading to Cheltenham will have to produce a vaccine pass or proof of a negative lateral flow test, but it is set to be business as usual otherwise ā much to the relief of Renton
