the pools are not big enough to justify a cape single meeting - would have done better with a gauteng dual meeting

Too much ground to make up.Broke fine but jock decided to go to the back of the field which probably cost it the race.
And anyway it was favorite and De Melo was riding so the script was already written I suppose.
