HOLLYWOODBETS GREYVILLE WEDNESDAY 10 NOVEMBER
-Andrew Harrison
1
4 GLOBAL PATH 1 ROYAL OASIS 2 RAIN WEAR 3 PROTEA PRIDE
Preview: GLOBAL PATH (4) has been coming along nicely in sprints and may now be over a more suitable trip from a good draw. ROYAL OASIS (1) has a similar form profile as he steps up in trip. He has a 4kg claimer aboard from pole position draw. RAIN WEAR (2) has been costly to follow but now drops to what may be a more suitable trip and also with a 4kg claimer up. PROTEA PRIDE (3) showed his better form when back in blinkers for his last start and goes well on the poly. (Andrew Harrison: 4-1-2-3).
2
2 FREESTATE STAR 3 TARANTINO 5 VIHAAN’S PRIDE 6 LOVE BOMB
Preview: Tricky race. FREESTATE STAR (2) is well in at these weights but has been rested and does seem better over further. However, she is smart and her class could pull her through. TARANTINO (3) won well in PE last start but has only been out of the money once in 13 outings. He must have a big chance in this field. VIHAAN’S PIE (5) is well in at the weights and may just have needed her last run. Goes well this trip and should go close. LOVE BOMB (6) is not well in at these weights but has not been far back at recent starts and caught the eye last run. (Andrew Harrison: 2-3-5-6).
3
3 GALABIER 7 ATLANTIC CITY 2 STATEOFUSA 1 SIRNIHAALLONGSWORD
Preview: GALABIER (3) was narrowly beaten on the turf last run but has had a taste of the poly. He looks the pick in a weak maiden field. ATLANTIC CITY (7) has been a little disappointing but has shown some improvement at recent outings and this trip may suit. STATEOFUSA (2) has shown some and can do better with a 2.5kg claimer aboard. SIRNIHAALLONGSWORD (1) showed some improvement at his second start and could prefer this trip. (Andrew Harrison: 3-7-2-1).
4
2 BLUE PLANET 4 ELECTRIC SURGE 1 MAGICAL MIDLANDS 5 COUP DE TETE
Preview: Carl Hewitson has a strong hand with three of the seven runners. BLUE PLANET (2) has been in good form and goes well on the poly. Although this is a handicap he looks well treated at these weights. ELECTRIC SURGE (4) switches to the poly but stays well and has not been far back at recent outings. MAGICAL MIDLANDS (1) goes very well on the poly but is 4kg worse off with Blue Planet when last they met although nearly two lengths to the good. COUP DE TETE (5) is a poly specialist and should be right there. (Andrew Harrison: 2-4-1-5).
5
2 JACQUELINE 6 INDIGO MOON 4 PEANUT BETTER 3 BELL JAR
Preview: Tough handicap. JACQUELINE (2) has been coming along the right way with cheek pieces and looks primed for this race. She switches to the poly but has a good draw. INDIGO MOON (6) came from a seemingly hopeless position to beat Peanut Butter last run. She is 2kg worse off at the weights but a repeat can see her go in again. PEANUT BUTTER (4) has been in good form and had a wide draw to contend with last run. She has a better draw here and can go one better. There is not a lot to BELL JAR (3) but she is always game and her luck in running seems to have changed after a few hard-luck stories. (Andrew Harrison: 2-6-4-3).
6
5 ICE SENSATION 3 BIRDWATCHER 2 UNCONDITIONAL LOVE 5 LADY OF LUTETIA
Preview: ICE SENSATION (5) won well on debut and that form has since been franked. However, she got a hefty MR. There should be very little between BIRDWATCHER (3) and UNCONDITIONAL LOVE (2) the two having met last time out. Birdwatcher is now 1kg better off and she should enjoy the extra furlong. LADY OF LUTETIA (5) was game in defeat over course and distance last run. She must have a chance on a repeat showing. (Andrew Harrison: 5-3-2-5).
7
8 FATEFUL DAY 1 WHAT A BLAST 10 COOL RUNNINGS 9 FIERY DUKE
Preview: FATEFUL DAY (😎 made a smart handicap debut and looks to have some scope. He steps up in trip and with a 2.5kg claimer up should be competitive. WHAT A BLAST (1) has useful recent form on the poly and is overdue a win. He does take on stronger but has the best of the draw and should make a bold bid again. COOL RUNNINGS (10) drops in class and also takes a two-point rating drop. FIERY DUKE (9) shed his maiden over course and distance. He took on stronger last start and can do better here. (Andrew Harrison: 8-1-10-9).
8
3 RAMCHANDANI ROAD 4 PURPLE AND GREEN 2 GIMME A RAINBOW 1 TWO OF US
Preview: RAMCHANDANI ROAD (3) goes very well over course and distance and should be right there again. PURPLE AND GREEN (4) is lightly raced and has his third run after a break. He has shown ability and did well from a wide draw last start. GIMME A RAINBOW (2) is never far back of late. Some luck in running and he should be right there again. TWO OF US (1) has been trying further but a drop in trip from a good draw can see him home. (Andrew Harrison: 3-4-2-1).

As Dave has done on many an occasion with reference to Humble Tune, I am now gingerly entering the "damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't" arena. I have a small share in Purple & Green in the last race. He appears to have done well since his good last run from a poor draw and being his 3rd run after a rest, and from a much better draw, we are more than hopeful of a positive run, albeit that the race is pretty competitive.

Very poor judgement of pace by the jockeys on the first and second favorites there.
