race 1 - Barney's Pride looks hard to beat but i see lots of money for Run for the Sun which must be respected!
others to consider on a competitive card

CAVALIER KING
GOLDEN ASPEN best 4 place watch BOLD ACT who could be anything
GROOMEDTOWIN place value
HAVE A GO JO and IMPERIAL MASTER but very open
APOLLO ROBBINS massive runner
SOUTH EAST better for last run respect ORAVAR
COUNTRY SQUIRE looks like he has been possessed by the spirit of FLAMING ROCK - wins like he gets dropped in at the 400m mark - Perhaps foolish to follow after a 13pt rise in rating for 2 wins but he really seems a different horse after a longish rest

Back to the grindstone after the weekend - thoughts:

R1: After a good second behind Smorgasbord, Barney's Pride looks hard to beat; did just beat Cavalier King, but that one is drawn wide

R2: Competitive; any first timer does not have to be a star to win this, but all of Franca, Golden Aspen, Princess Philippa, Rose of Bayeux and Take Control have the forom to win this; of those I do prefer Rose of Bayeux

R3: On a good debut, Duke of Sussex will prove hard to beat; Groomedtown from pole position can improve on a fair debut; the others have had a few chances

R4: Looks to lie between the 3 at the top of the boards; I think the juvenile is good enough, but she needs to overcome a wide draw

R5: Open race - all the best with Humble Tune, who has as good a chance as any other; Oyster King seems held at the weights, but of course romped in last time - may be better over 1600, but really if it repeats his last effort, may prove hard to catch

R6: Dr Doolittle has the form, but a big weight, so I do think Category Four can give him a run; others like Tyrus Express, Set the Standard and Apollo Robbins not out of it

R7: Open - Herstel on a roll, but many of the others must have chances as well

R8: I think Kwite a Trip is very useful, and ran a good race last time form an inside draw down the straight - so the one to beat; danger imo is Country Squire who has hit form after a break

Enjoy B)

An overhead drone shot would show how badly the outside horses are affected...

Those starting stalls are just too angled for me...the horses are jumping into each other as they leave the pens...:( :(
