Very hot day today, and the horses will battle as quite a few throwing winter coats already after the recent cool weather.
Race 1 Barzalona's first two runs were very impressive, and on best form he's the one to beat. African Rain finished in front of him last time over shorter, and Intrepid as well, so not much between the 3 on that run.
Race 2 Bye Bye Bombshell good debut and is selected to beat the useful Santa Maria. Giverny to run third.
Race 3 The girls get a very generous 3.5 kg allowance in these Pinnacles, so I'm going for Hello Winter Hello which has good form this trip. Might be a bit sharp for Pretty Young Thing but also very well in at the weights. Not much between the boys at the weights, but my preference is for Elusive Trader.
Race 4 If this were an ordinary maiden, Picture the Moment would be a penalty kick. I still pick him to win, but he has to give a fair amount of weight to the others so there could be an upset.
Race 5 Bernie is very consistent and just beat Moon Rock at the same weights last time. However, Fateful has dropped to a very competitive rating, and he is my value ew play here at 7/1
Race 6 I am on a winning streak at Kenilworth of 3 in a row as an owner and 4 as a breeder. Three runners line up in this very open race. Fynbos has missed out on a few planned races which were cancelled due to too few entries, so she has not run for a couple of months. Working well and in good shape, expecting a good run this course and trip, but a slight concern about the gap since her last run. Helen's Blush has the opposite issue, as this may be a little soon after her run on 24th April. She is still improving, and will relish the step up in trip, and with a top jockey expect a good run. Grey's Princess has only won twice in 3 seasons of racing, but is game and if she is given a soft lead in this small field, she can surprise.
This is a tightly handicapped race, but of the others,Halloween and Regina Isabella look to have the most scope for improvement. Kunming is closely related to Helen's Blush, and gets 2.5kg for a 2.3L beating, so is also in the mix.
Race 7 This has been priced up as a contest between the 3 year olds, and I prefer Kariba Hall of those. However, there are a few of the others that have dropped in the ratings and could cause an upset. I think that Able Surprise should enjoy the step up in trip and is an interesting roughie.
Race 8 My mare Secret Depths is very game, and is always in with an ew shout. Another very tricky race. So Flawless is an improving 3 yo; Lilac Sensation is in hot recent form, and there are many others with chances.

Well played Sammy, got the favorite out the bipot.
As for Barzalona,GVN is very capable of these types of rides.Sitting way too far back to trouble it's stable mate.
