Great Moments of jockeys

I was trying to explain to a mate who had never been to horseracing before, what drew me to the sport. Years ago, jockeys seems to be right up there with our sporting heroes. I was trying to explain how Glyn Schoefield in the middle of a race, propped up another jockey who was was slipping off the saddle. Schoefield came past, reached over and "pulled" the other jockey who was slipping off the horse, back up and prevented him from falling. Amazing stuff. Can anyone remember this?.And days of invitational stakes at Scottsville?m

I'm not a AM fan but his ride on Jay Peg to win a big race (Duty Free?) in Dubai made me appreciate his talent...

I can clearly remember this. Was just entering High School. The jockey he saved was Heinz Runge. He still ended up 5th in the race. The horse might have been Elis Doll, Schofield was riding.
