Guys do you think it will convert too an 'All Weather' track?

Imo, I believe it will.

The only questions being when, and will it be 'PolyTrack'??

What are the Clan's views?

A Lingfield type track would be great, although Wolverhampton is the best type of all weather track. What i have seen from SA all weather tracks they look like the Southwell type. Major problem with the UK is that there are far too many tracks here. Some tracks only get about 10 eetings a year.

PS...I see Man City are the new big spenders surpassing your Chelsea boys

I would much rather have an all weather than night racing anyday - would cost less and give us more options to race (we'd miss fewer meetings due to weather and much kinder on the horses ) i know i'm in the minority here but if it came to night racing vs all weather i know what i'd choose - it took ages to get the guys into sand racing now it's the norm -

I personally would make it 2 meetings ALL sand Aug 1st -Sept 30th - then once a week (Wed?), year round - and yes that would be the night meeting!

Respectfully, Jim.

As I say cats, I believe BOTH are necessary in order to take the game 'forward' in the long run.

I don't know about 50bar - however, I think a figure of around 1/4bar p/meet from the overseas markets = 12.5bar for a year of night racing is more realistic -no?

Would night racing not open up the option to broadcast the product into America?? East Coast 9 hours before us... means 09h00 in morning = 18h00 here... Just a thort

Rumours abound that night racing is to be canned as a result of the Americans not wanting the product.

Never really thought that the All Weather route would be at the expense of night racing, but if it comes to that, I have to agree the All Weather option makes more sense (both financial and practical)

Why can the people responsible for the sale of Newmarket (and even Gosforth Park) not stand up and say 'sorry we made a huge bugger-up; how can we fix it'(yes I am living in La-La land)
