Reading a report from Molly, that after her race in France, we could have the dream clash between our two local hero's in the Hong Kong sprint in Dec?

What a race that would be. If national colour gets sex allowance and goes over 5f she may be hard to catch. Definitely one to watch though a real test for JJ imo.

Sean Tarry did say that Mythical was just as good as NC if not better when they first ran Mythical. JJ showed Mythical what sprinting was about so who knows.

Lets pray that this race happens over 5f so that we can debate

Isn't Sacred Kingdom running? And last time I checked HK Sprint was over 1,200m

Imho JJ would be a very hot favourite to beat National Colour at HK Sprint.

No disrespect to NC's owners - but as they themselves know she is a much better 1,000m Horse than 1200m - and to me she would be at least 3/1 against beating JJ in HK.

Now whether JJ wins or not in HK, will be down to many factors not least of which are his opponents and how he travels.

However, I still think he could be on the Scotia side of a good bet = odds on
- lol!

Respectfully, Jim.

So in HK Sprint if NC is 3/1 and JJ is odds on, let's make it evens, that is 75% of the market, which would mean horses like Sacred Kingdom (highest rated sprinter in world) and Apache Cat (last 5 wins all at Group 1) would be around the 7 to 8-1 mark? That would lift the 4 horses to 100% in the market and we can't forget the other 10 or so that would run that would all fit into the remaining 20%, meaning they would all be 50-1? I'll bet around JJ and NC as they will both be way overs on the HK tote on raceday. But anyone willing to bet me the 7-1 or 8-1 Sacred Kingdom or Apache Cat please do so.

The 3/1 NC was a match bet w/JJ, and I didn't want to insult her owners by putting up bigger odds.

As for JJ, maybe he'll end up short odds, on the day. Obviously dependant on who else was races, how he travels and many other factors.

But Luthers, steady on, lets wait until race time - you never know, you might well get those odds.

Anyhow, may the best Horse win on the day - it won't be the first time JJ's been underestimated and I dare say, it won't be the last - lol!

All the best,Jim.

Am not criticising any horse - far from it. I have had the good fortune to see all four race and let's just hope they all line up fit and healthy on race day. Its what racing needs. Just as a matter of interest, how would they compare against National Currency, remembering he went to HK and ran Silent Witness to a nose when Silent Witness was unbeatable? Interested in your thoughts.

So form pretty much comparative. All three outstanding horses. Let's hope Sacred Kingdom and Apache cat come back this campaign. Best to back JJ and Nat Colour on the HK tote as you will be getting way overs.
