Vodacom Durban July Log

Hat-trick seeking Do It Again tops the initial log for the 2020 Vodacom Durban July which will be run at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Saturday 25 July 2020. Apart from Do It Again, all of Rainbow Bridge, Vardy, Soqrat and Hawwaam boast an official rating of 130+ and these occupy the next four positions on the log which was issued by Gold Circle today. A total of 52 entries were received at the first stage and the log identifies the top 20 with the next five listed in alphabetical order. With a number of critically important features due to be run over the next few weeks, the log could be subject to significant change and will be updated during the first week of July.

Three year olds Golden Ducat and Gotthegreenlight have cemented their places in the Vodacom Durban July line-up courtesy of their respective victories in the Cape Derby and SA Classic.

Sylvester, could could be right. Surely Belgarion is not less than a 100, and he doesn't appear on the log.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Just to confirm the obvious - that is the incorrect log. The log for the 2020 VDJ was correctly attached to the media release so I am not sure where the gremlin has crept in on Bob's side.

Haven't been too successful in predicting the winner - but never give up - so this year I'm going for Belgarion - will come in with a low weight (getting heaps of weight from Bunker Hunt) and depending on he runs in the Greyville 1900, I think he will shorten in the betting.

Always tough to work out a potential winner before the trials have been run but my thinking is, DO IT AGAIN should’ve benefited the most from the lockdown and delay in racing... he clearly needed some time to get back into form and I think this extra month is going to bring him so well. I’m going with DO IT AGAIN at this early stage but an interesting year nonetheless!
