How`s your bets guys going?

Not being cheeky, but are we cutting stakes due to lack or work and uncertainty with covid 19? or is it business as usual?

Good question. Definitely not business as usual.

Where do we start? So many factors...

- More uncertainty in life. Less disposable money
- Don't know the fitness of the horses
- Afraid that the insiders (bookmakers, jockeys, trainers, owners, etc.) may be pulling moves at the expense of the average punter
- Not betting for 2 months has caused a calm apathy. Happy to watch for enjoyment. No great drive to bet
- I am a cash punter. No off course totes or bookies open that (1) I know of [not that I have looked because of point 2] or (2) that I would like to go to and sit with people that I don't know [who may or may not be infected]

I am honestly afraid that the industry may not be able to recover because of a whole heap of factors that I have listed above and that I may not be clever enough to list

You got to be joking,2 more horses with shoe problems.
Surely we can't blame the type of grass as it happens in every centre including the poly.
Hopefully someone looks into this fiasco as it puts the horse, owner, jockey and punter on the back foot even before the horse has run.

I have only watched one race so far, but I must say that the coverage from Greyville yesterday was miles better...
