The best S.A. jockey has to be Gerald Turner.(GT).......

You are obviously a good age Dare.
On terms of achievement, I would go for Muis Roberts,
International Lester Piggot and AP McCoy over the jumps
Ps I am sure I backed Gerald on Phantom Earl, the big grey at Gosforth Park a few times.

Muis Roberts has to be in the mix with all his S.A. championships he won - not to mention a few in the U.K.

Schoeman was great but GT is in a class of his own....Striker was good but Bartie Leisher was far better I feel...

SA: Muis Roberts because he won the British Championship; Striker because he holds the record number of wins.
