Press release
Please note that the race meeting scheduled to take place at Durbanville Racecourse on Tuesday 25th February 2020 has been moved to Kenilworth Racecourse.
Times and distances remain unchanged.
Following an inspection of the track with a senior Jockey in attendance, the decision was taken to move the race meeting to Kenilworth Racecourse, as there is an area of concern at approximately the 50m mark where the grass cover is poor. This will be remedied before the next scheduled meeting which is the 7th of March 2020.

Scorching hot day with no wind. Tricky card
Race 1 Small field and not much separating them. Night Song my pick.
Race 2 Secret Depths has been holding form well and is again in with an ew shout in a competitive handicap. She is fit and well but has to give a lot of weight to a few improving 3yos.
race 3 Lady Wylie has been knocking on the door and is the one to beat if she jumps on terms as she should enjoy this distance. O Sole Mio is not consistent, but is capable at best., and the same goes for Watch me Now. Our filly Silver Fountain has been disappointing her last two starts, but I think that she is better than what she has shown so far. Hopefully some improvement today.
Race 4. Tambora is the one to beat, although way below best last start so odds on is not attractive. Midnight Badger and Nixon look the main dangers.
Race 5.Another interesting clash between hardened older horses and some progressive 3yos. I liked the way that Royal Return won his maiden and Worlds your oyster has done nothing wrong so i'll side with these two against the consistent Bernie and Magic Mike.
Race 6 Open handicap. Perhaps Vodka Lime.
Race 7 This is more difficult than it looks being a handicap for weak maidens. Ronaldo and Radiant Love would fight it out at level weights, but now have to give weight. Elusive Tango at 16/1 gets a nice draw this time and is 3.5kg better off with Ronaldo at 2/1 for a 3 length beating, so this is a field leg for me.
race 8 Another competitive handicap. Flatware is still improving and is the one to beat but no bankers here. Grey Princess has been consistent and gets the services of Anton Marcus- she is fit and well and has an ew shout.
