Sure we will be greffed a few times today
Race 8: Forty Days , not bad cape form which is usually 2 good for this centre , with a nibble at the price imo

Nice to see Ferraris riding in pe, his best chance for a winner appears to be in race 4: Queen Makeda

TRAINER COMMENTS :

RACE 1 :
1st four selections
1 / 7 / 3 / 2

ALAN GREEFF – Numbers 1, 2 and 3 – DELICASEA, HERRIN & CECCA :
Delicasea won well on debut and another good run is expected. Both
Herrin and Cecca have also done well and should be in the action
again.
GAVIN SMITH – Numbers 4, 5, 6 and 7 – JUST SO EASY, OH HEAVENLY,
RUBIANA LACE & SLOANE : Just so Easy and Oh Heavenly can be
thereabouts if not green. Rubiana Lace is expected to be green, she
will hopefully be doing her best work late. Sloane takes on winners
but does have a weight advantage and will be competitive.
MONTANA TURNER – Number 8 – SWEET SPRING : She ran a moderate race
on debut but was very green and did take on male opposition as well.
She is working well and I am hoping for decent improvement.
SHARON KOTZEN – Number 9 – UPPER TEN : She does show a little pace
at home but would have preferred 1200m. This is a starting point for
her and an educational run.

RACE 2 :

1st four selection
6 / 8 / 7 / 10

• ALAN GREEFF – Number 6 – ALL THE STARS : She can run well if not too green.
• JACQUES STRYDOM – Number 8 – BELFAST CHILD : She ran fair third on
debut and is expected to improve.
DUNCAN MCKENZIE – Number 10 – RILEY DE VIE : She has her first run
for the yard and although I think she may prefer Poly, she has a place
chance.
GAVIN SMITH – Number 5 – ARABIAN QUEST : He is expected to improve
back up the straight.
SHARON KOTZEN – Number 7 – ASH KAT : This will be a bit sharp for
her but it is a starting point.

RACE 3 :

1st four selections
1 / 2 / 4 / 3

• GAVIN SMITH – Numbers 1 and 2 – ARMO & BRAVO CHARLIE : Armo is
expected to run well again. Bravo Charlie didn’t enjoy the Poly in his
last, will improve and should place.

RACE 4 :

1st four selections
3 / 1 / 7 / 4

• DUNCAN MCKENZIE – Numbers 1, 5 and 7 – SHADES OF BLU, WHISPERING
JACK & QUEEN MAKEDA : Shades of Blu will run well. Queen Makeda is
against the boys, but her last run was a good one over course and
distance and she is working well. It is hard to split those two and
both have chances. Whispering Jack must improve, but he has been
crying for the bend.
• SHARON KOTZEN – Number 3 – MALDIVES : He has his first run for the
yard, it will be a learning curve but we are hoping that he can be
there.
GAVIN SMITH – Numbers 2 and 4 – WHAT A PRINCE & GREY FERRARI : What
a Prince prefers turf and can run into quartets. Grey Ferrari is
expected to improve making his local debut and could place.

RACE 5 :

1st four selections
1 / 2 / 5 / 4

• ALAN GREEFF – Numbers 2, 5 and 8 – KIMBERLEY STAR, VOICES OF LIGHT
& FALCON ROCK : Kimberley Star is in good form and should be
thereabouts. Voices of Light is always thereabouts and can find the
frame. Falcon Rock has a tough task at the weights.
• JUAN NEL – Number 4 – EARTH HOUR : He would prefer the mile, but
there aren’t many races for him so he must take his chances. He it fit
and well within himself and not without chance at a cheque.
TARA LAING – Numbers 6 and 9 – OMEGA ONSLAUGHT & PARA HANDY : Omega
Onslaught tries the 1400m again, he could perhaps place. This isn’t
the ideal race for Para Handy but with a lack of 1200m available he
takes his chances.
GAVIN SMITH – Number 7 – PAPER TOWN : He takes on a competitive
field but can earn.

RACE 6 :

1st four selections
4 / 9 / 10 / 1

• ALAN GREEFF – Number 4 – GIACOMO : He is in steady form and he has
an each way chance.
• SHARON KOTZEN – Numbers 2, 5 and 9 – SHADOW QUEEN, QUERENCIA &
WOOD FOR THE TREES : Shadow Queen showed huge improvement in her last
and we are hoping she can repeat that effort. Querencia needed her
last, the mile will suit and better is expected. Wood for the Trees
is nicely weighted and has a fair draw, he does prefer turf and if he
settles he can run a big race.
DUNCAN MCKENZIE – Numbers 1, 11 and 12 – BELL TOWER, SHERWOOD FOREST
& SALUBRIOUS : All three have wide draws which isn’t ideal. Bell Tower
is in good form and she will run well again. Sherwood Forest could
probably prefer 1400m but can manage quartets. Salubrious also has a
quartet chance.
GAVIN SMITH – Numbers 3 and 6 – SUNDAY FALLS & BIG FISH : Sunday
Falls over raced in his last and a better run is expected. Big Fish
can improve cutting back in trip.
JACQUES STRYDOM – Number 7 – MYVIEW : He ran a good race over the
mile on Poly in his penultimate when finishing well and now over that
trip on grass will enjoy the longer home straight.
GRANT PADDOCK – Number 8 – SAUVAGE : He is working well and is
coming along the right way. He has his peak run and a big run is
expected.
TARA LAING – Number 10 – LEADMAN : This is his favoured track and
trip and he must have a decent chance.

RACE 7 :

1st four selections
12 / 9 / 3 / 2

• ALAN GREEFF – Numbers 1, 5, 9, 10 and 12 – CARLITA, OUTLANDOS
D’AMOUR, SUNSHINE MINT, VIVIR & WORLD RADAR : Carlita is holding form
and can earn. Outlandos D’Armour is in good form and has a shout.
Sunshine Mint is up in class but not without chance at the win. Vivir
does prefer this trip. World Radar is back to best and can win.
TARA LAING – Number 4 – MISS SMARTY PANTS : This is short for her
and she races off a break.

RACE 8 :
1st four selections
4 / 9 / 12 / 13

• ALAN GREEFF – Numbers 3 and 4 – STOPTHINKINGOFME & DADS ROOTS :
Stopthinkingofme always has a place chance. Dads Roots has a chance at
the hat trick.
• DUNCAN MCKENZIE – Numbers 9 and 13 – DIVINE LAW & TORIO LAKE :
Divine Law over raced in his last and can get closer here. Torio Lake
ran a fair race against a lot stronger in his last, it was a good race
and he can be there again.
MICHAEL ROBINSON (comments made prior to travel) – Number 15 – FORTY
DAYS : Drops in class, enjoys the 1200m and can place.
JACQUES STRYDOM – Number 16 – ADIOS GRINGO : Hoping for improvement.
GAVIN SMITH – Numbers 1, 2 and 10 – POMACEOUS, KNIGHT OWL, SIR
GEOFFREY & TUNDRA : Pomaceous won his last over track and trip well.
Knight Owl will need further. Sir Geoffrey would also enjoy a bit
more, this will bring him on. Tundra is a bit in and out but can pop
up to place.
GRANT PADDOCK – Numbers 7, 12 and 18 – VARSITY BOURBON, ROCK THE
COT & BURNT ROCK : Varsity Bourbon must still prove himself over
1200m, but he is working very well. Rock the Cot ran a great race in
his last, he took it well so runs again here and another big run is
expected. Burnt Rock tries the grass again and I am hoping for
improvement.
TARA LAING – Numbers 8 and 14 – REAL RASCAL & BEETHOVEN : Real
Rascal is up against stronger having his first run out of the maidens.
Beethoven loves this trip and must have a fair chance.

My runners today:
Race 6 Wood for the Trees. Not the best of draws, but he runs off a fair rating and on the turf track has an ew shout in what looks a very open race. He has a tendency to over-race early, so needs to settle to show his best.
Race 7 Elusive Heart. She has been in PE since her good run last month, and we opted for this race rather than the much stronger Prix du Cap. She has been working well and although the 1200m is slightly sharp for her I think that she has a very good ew chance. World Radar is the main danger as she still has plenty scope for improvement. All of 1,2,5 and 7 can be involved in the finish.
Race 8. Forty Days has his first run in PE and has been running against stronger in CT. He was carded to run last week but there were transport problems. He travelled yesterday and appears to have travelled well. This is an extremely open race but on his best form he has an ew chance.

......well judging from the fact that they only now have just cut the course clean feed that the meeting is a no go..... what pisses me off is that TT presenters say they are keeping us informed but no information is forth coming and they deliberately do so for fear that they lose their audience and dent the betting turnover... .
