Hollywood Challenge

The introduction of this competition has seen a great increase in terms of field sizes in KZN and this a positive in my opinion.Where were all these racehorses prior to the competition being launched? Makes you wonder what a monetary incentive can do......

Hi Bob.. it's a compo that started in December 2019 and end February 2020 for trainers, owners and jockeys. Works on most points obtained by virtue of the horses finishing position and the highest points accumulator gets the slice of the 750k on offer. Leader board is available on HWB site....

This is a good observation Duke, and if the operator had any sense they'd see the marginal benefit from the R750k outlay far outweighing the cost when you consider the increased turnover due to increased field sizes, and do this themselves in all provinces, as opposed to relying on a bookmaker to do it for them, and then proceed to wonder why punters play the Open bet.
