For me the day hinges on the arrival of the first two favourites. Whilst the accumulative odds don't work out to much, mix and match with other fancies on the card or at other meetings and it all adds up.

R1) Hello Tomorrow (7/10), back against her own sex, should take some stopping. On Captain's Side to fill the exacta spot.

R2) Diva's Express (6/10), needed the come-back run and is the likely improver over the distance, doesn't have much to beat.

R3) Morse (5/2) can give Marcus a relatively quick double. The key to winning would be for Marcus to control the pace of the race from a deep draw, the good thing, the market rival is drawn just as bad. Coming back in distance shouldn't pose any issues.

R4) Two horse race, siding with Long Reign (1/1) over In Auro.

R5) At The Office (11/2) is weighted to finish closer to the favourite, Miraculously Ours (16/10). The dark horse must be Mercurana who is a 1.0kg better off with my fancy and 1.5kgs better off with the favourite. It is a worry that the stable jockey has opted for the ride on Mercurana.

R6) Golden Tractor (7/2) is well in here and represents a good bet on the card for me.

R7) These Divided Handicaps are always tricky. The one to beat is Hildegarde (15/10), I make Dark Crystal a runner. Had valid excuses in her last two runs, would like to see Richard try and go from gun to tape off the weight.

R8) The other Divided Handicap on the card, have a look at Aye Aye, I make this is a huge runner at a fairly big price.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
