Bad Bookies 👎

Hi Everyone,

So the following bookmakers have all either closed my online account or limited me by enforcing ridiculous limits/terms and conditions on my bets :

1. Hollywood Bets
2. World Sports Betting
3 Keith Ho BetXchange
4. Marshalls World Of Sport
5. LM Bookmaker

Can somebody please recommend a bookie to me who won't run scared everytime a punter strikes a small win? I am looking a for a bookie offering both fixed odds and open bets. I am on the verge of giving up gambling considering my current limitations. Is it really worth all the trouble?

LJ I'm really surprised to see LM bookmakers amongst that lot. Maybe you should give Lance a call. Otherwise good luck.

I would be very interested in hearing what your betting and winning history was, what bets you were successful in, and what limits were imposed.

I see you havent listed Betting World. Give Rob Scott a shout I am told he lays any bet

My bookie increased my limit cause I lose so often , guess we all got problems :lol:

....with racing venues and betting opportunities becoming a lot less lately .....only the other day I saw a bookie with his hands in his own pockets......:lol:

Very strange for LM to reduce your limits.
I know of friends that win big ( and I mean big).

I post seldom nowadays but this was a subject close to my heart so thought I would have to.

I bet on rugby and horse racing and the rest of the options much less.

Limited by Sportingbet, Bet.co.za, Betxchange, Lance Michael, Sportsbet, WSB, Gbets, BetOLimp and prob a few others I've forgotten.

Total disgrace , surprised people talking up Lance Michael , he was one of the first , started calling me the Shrewdy and would limit me to win R2500 on rugby , the rest limited me to a couple of 100 rands , laughable.

I'm still with Sunbet , wonderful sporting options but have heard of them limiting , Hollywood haven't limited me yet but their sports is poor and their on line platform is pathetic.

GGG will still lay you a bet but don't offer many markets on sports .

I have a VPN and use Betfair , you can get what you want generally , but once again the Sporting options can be very limited on certain sports .

In summary the SA bookies are a sorry lot , but having said that it's a worldwide problem where Ladbrokes, PaddyPower, Bet 365 etc all limit winners .

I must say I am surprised to see Hollywood’s name up there as I haven’t heard of stories about them. Web is the absolute worst.I got limited and then account got closed and that was my first winning run with them in 2 years.overaul I was way down with them.
The problem is that limiting mainly takes place with betting the day before,most of these bookmakers have young guys who think they know everything who make the odds that they offer and turn out to be wrong betting.
Bettingworld banned me about 10 years ago, but last year I took a chance and re opened a account and it worked, except their prices are always underpriced so I can’t get to take a bet.

Internet is good but volumes are to small,mainly ante post.
Hollywood limits are good and payouts and deposits is superb, haven’t been limited ever.Nice website.
Web I wish could take bets as their prices are normally good and have a nice website with online support. Banned for winning a couple in a row.
Never tried LM as he had horses with tarry and that makes me nervous.
Overall Hollywood first Interbet close second.

I agree with your ranking wrt Hollywood.
They were my first online bookmaker, tried others but ultimately returned to Hollywood

Hollywood decided to close my account when I publicly expressed my disappointment on this platform about them enforcing some ridiculous limit on my account. Its sad that most of these companies cant seem to take constructive criticism. Imagine if PNP or Checkers banned me for complaining about a shopping bad experiencing? Sounds ridiculous doesnt it
