Sure the punters will get Greefed a few times today , Quakeshake in the last looks some value , will have a nibble on that.

TRAINER COMMENTS :
RACE 1 :
1st four selections
4 / 2 / 6 / 5
• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 1, 2, 5 and 6 - BELLA INN, WHAT A CRACKER, LEADER OF THE PACK & SLOANE : Bella Inn is expected to be green and will need further. What a Cracker is working well and will be right there. Leader of the Pack is a nice filly and will be thereabouts. Sloane is speedy and will also be thereabouts.
• ALAN GREEFF - Number 4 - DELICASEA : She will run well if not green.
SHARON KOTZEN - Number 3 - CYBER SECURITY : She does show pace at home, but in baby races anything can happen, so just hoping for a good run from her.
RACE 2 :
1st four selection
6 / 8 / 3 / 5
• DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Numbers 3 and 6 - SHADES OF BLU & THOMAS TUCKER : Shades of Blu is knocking at the door and will be in the money again. Thomas Tucker is trying the mile, which his pedigree does suggest he will enjoy and he is in with a shout.
• TARA LAING - Number 8 - ORIENTAL WORLD : He has needed both his runs so far over shorter and up to the mile he will run a better race.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 9 - WHITE WARRIOR : Hoping for improvement.
MONTANA TURNER - Numbers 1 and 7 - LOST MONARCH & MONTANA SKY : Both can improve on their last runs which they could just have needed coming off vaccs. Both are also expected to enjoy the mile.
GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 4 and 5 - GIVEMETHETHUMBSUP & BRAVO CHARLIE : the blinkers are off Givemethethumbsup and improvement is expected. Bravo Charlie has his first run for the yard and he could place.
RACE 3 :
1st four selections
3 / 4 / 1 / 5
• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 2 and 3 - ASCENDING HEIGHTS & CALANDRA : Ascending Heights has been disappointing, I am hoping for better. Calandra ran on well in her last and has a winning chance.
• MONTANA TURNER - Number 4 - WORLD SQUARED : The pace in her last didn’t suit, they went very slow and as a free striding horse she didn’t enjoy it. She tries the cheek pieces for concentration as she tends to run in snatches and she is in with a chance.
GAVIN SMITH - Number 9 - GERMINATION : Hoping for improvement.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 10 - TEQUILA MARIA : Hoping for improvement.
SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 1 and 5 - ELUSIVE GREEN & STORM DANCE : Put a line through Elusive Green’s last, she had valid excuses. She is always honest and should be there again. Storm Dance ran a very nice last. She did lose her way when having a growth spurt but looks to be coming back to herself and can further improve.
RACE 4 :
1st four selections
1 / 6 / 8 / 4
• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 1 and 10 - SUNDAY FALLS & WILDCAT : Sunday Falls won a good race in his last over track and trip. Wildcat needed his last, he could still need this too but could manage the back end of quartets.
• ALAN GREEFF - Number 6 - SKYDANCER : He needed his last and has a place chance.
TARA LAING - Number 8 - LEADMAN : He has been a bit disappointing of late but is well suited to course and distance and must have a good chance.
DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 9 - SHERWOOD FOREST : Hoping for improvement back up to the mile.
GRANT PADDOCK - Number 13 - KEANAN’S ROCK : He is well suited to course and distance and has a place chance.
SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 3 and 11 - GOLD PACT & WOOD FOR THE TREES : Gold Pact has his first run out of the maidens. He is up in class but could place. Wood for the Trees needs all to go his way, but we have been waiting to get him back on grass and he could find the frame.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 12 - CHESTNUT WILD : Hoping for improvement.
RACE 5 :
1st four selections
1 / 2 / 4 / 5
• JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 1 and 5 - KING CAPONE, COIN MISTRESS : King Capone is in such consistent form and should be well suited to the 2400m trip that he tries. He definitely has an each way shout. Coin Mistress ran very well in her last trying further and if she follows up she can earn again, though she is up against the boys now.
• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 2, 3 and 9 - FIERY FORT, BORN TO BE GREAT & FORT SILVER : Fiery Fort and Born to be Great are working well and should be right there. Fort Silver is expected to improve.
SHARON KOTZEN - Number 4 - MASTEROFTHEPARTY : He stays all day so he is expected to enjoy the 2400m. He needed his last and improvement is expected.
RACE 6 :
1st four selections
1 / 2 / 6 / 5
• DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 1 - STRAWBERRY GIRL : She loves 1000m and though the top weight is a concern she does have a chance.
• JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 2 - HUMANITARIAN : Put a line through his last, he was absolutely above himself that day and ran his race before he even jumped. He can do a lot better but it is a concern that he does look to be needing the gelding.
ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 3 and 5 - MIGHTY ROCK & TEOFILIA : Mighty Rock is better than his form and improvement is expected but this should be a bit short for him. Teofilia is never far back, it is an open field and he has a chance.
GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 4, 7 and 9 - ROYAL FORT, TUNDRA & WILD MOVE : Royal Fort has needed his last two runs and has a quartet chance. Tundra needed his last. Wild Move is back to 1000m and has quartet chance.
GRANT PADDOCK - Number 8 - VARSITY BOURBON : He needs to improve.
RACE 7 :
1st four selections
4 / 3 / 6 / 8
• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 1, 3, 4 and 5 - VIVIR, ALDO, RACINE & VIA SACRA : Vivir will appreciate the claim four off her top weight. Aldo ran a much improved last and I am hoping he follows up, if he does he can be competitive. Racine has not put a foot wrong so far and has a winning chance again. Via Sacra is at best over 1000m and could place.
• GAVIN SMITH - Number 6 - SIR CALEB : He won a good last over track and trip, but does meet a competitive field.
RACE 8 :
1st four selections
5 / 4 / 9 / 10
• SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 4 and 15 - EFFORT & BEAUTIFUL BEAT : Effort has needed time and is improving. She is working well and a nice run is expected. Beautiful Beat is better than last where she did too much early. She could perhaps sneak minor money.
• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 5, 12 and 14 - VIVA LE BLEU, STEADY BREEZE & LALENA : Viva la Bleu is consistent and will be right there. Steady Breeze ran a fair last from a bad draw, she is unfortunately drawn badly again though. Lalena is working well but racing off a break she may need it.
MONTANA TURNER - Number 7 - WINTER FIVE :
JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 10, 13 and 16 - DUCHESS OF PRUSSIA, HONEY SUITE & HOPEFUL : Duchess of Prussia has her first run for the yard, she is working well so if she brings it to course she can feature. Honey Suite always tries and could place. Hoping the Hopeful, can improve.
DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 8 - SALUBRIOUS : She could find the 1400m short but with no suitable races available for her over further at the moment she’ll take her chances here and in current form, she can manage quartets, her work is good.
ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 2, 3, 6 and 9 - RUBY DAWN, QUAKESHAKE, MISS ORANGE & BLACK GARDENIA : Ruby Dawn found traffic in her last and can get closer. Quakeshake is never far back and has a chance. Miss Orange has her post maiden run and is up in class as well as trying turf. Black Gardenia was unlucky in her last and has each way.
