"Group" RESULTS - 'Sunday' 10 August Workings.

Afternoon.

This afternoon completed, and went as follows:

The 1st runner we wanted 2.5, and with being around 2.72 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.5 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 2.8 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade looked in a bit of trouble, but dug deep to get the win, so the way it goes. Glad of the 'free' lay now though.....

The 2nd runner we wanted 1.5, and with being around 1.49 and slightly short on arrival, we had a lay at 1.49 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.......

The 3rd runner we wanted 3.5, and with drifting to around 4.3 on arrival and then tumbling back down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 3.5 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.......

The 4th runner we wanted 2.4, but an important non runner and 25% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.05. There was then a further withdrawal and further 3.8% reduction, so now we wanted a lay price of 2.01 (2.0 nearest exchange price). The price was a well supported 1.84 on arrival and shortening, so we had a lay at 1.84 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result........

The 5th runner we wanted 2.9, and with drifting to around 3.5 on arrival and not coming back down to us, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr. Early traders happy though.......

The 6th runner we wanted 2.6, and with drifting to around 3.6 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage, so a race to avoid for all. The runner was beaten and so 'one that got away in hindsight'.....

The 7th runner we wanted 2.8, but a non runner and 11.1% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.6. The price had drifted to around 3.2 on arrival, there's no strategy play left on offer now and only a bit of trading, so I'm leaving it there and chilling out. Good luck traders with the remainder..

WELL PLAYED........

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Won 1 target............They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and after a poor start they clawed back to hit their targets on their 4th lay (the 4th runner).........They then ran out of enough potential lays left to start another strategy/target, so end the session winning 1 target..

'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that only bought relief.....They then had their 1st lay (the 2nd runner) at 1.49 max and a good result see them hit their targets....

Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

'Free' lay bought no free profit, only relief.

Total bank remains £400

1st lay £100 to win the £100 target @ 1.49 max. Result positive. Win £100

Total bank now £500

Overall result. Target hit.

'Traders' have won, or broke level on all their trades and so well played and good luck with the remainder..

So builders play the perfect game and hit their targets nice and early, and rollers got the money, so well played guys. Good luck traders with the remainder, but I'm off to hit some balls on the range. Speak in the morning..

We'd lay up to 3.5 or under. *Traders be aware, that although lightly raced, he has shown he can lead, or race prominently in his races, so no surprise to see the same tactics applied for this afternoon. All the races were priced up, with non runners taken into account, up until 09.54am.

That's what we have to work around for this afternoon then. A mixture of different races and make ups, and although looking tricky and testing, especially with that unexposed nature being rife and leaving us vulnerable to big drifters and gambles, we do have enough about us to warrant taking the satchels along and trying to win a bit. Discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way.
