"Group" RESULTS - 'Evening Session' Friday 8 August Workings.
16 years 10 months ago
Evening.
This evening completed, and went as follows:
The 1st runner we wanted 3.1, and with drifting to around 3.3 on arrival and only getting bigger, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so the late drift told lies, a nice priced winner and glad of the drift. A good leave.......
The 2nd runner we wanted 3.3, and with being around 2.98 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.98. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.6 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result.....
The 3rd runner we wanted 3.2, and with drifting to around 4.3 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so defied the drift, a nice winner, but more importantly a good leave.....
The 4th runner we wanted 1.5, and with being around 1.68 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner threw the race away with hanging and losing out in a close finish, so 'one that got away in hindsight'........
The 5th runner we wanted 2.1, and with being around 2.26 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 2.1 max. The lay went and won, so the way it goes.....
The 6th runner we wanted 1.7, and with being around 1.76 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 1.7 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.......
The 7th and final runner we wanted 1.7, and with being around 1.79 on arrival, no strategy play left and only a tiny bit of trading, I'm leaving it there, so good luck if you hang around..
WELL PLAYED/BATTLED.................(2 from the first 3 (66.66%) went and won - 3 from the first 5 (60%) went and won - so another tough session, but we played it well enough and no harm done.)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) finished level.......They started their 1st strategy/target on the 2nd runner, and then when breaking level after their 3rd lay (the 6th runner) and there only being one potential lay left, they end it here with no room at all for error now....
'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 2nd runner) that bought a tiny profit........They then had a 'free' lay (the 2nd runner) that bought a tiny profit.........They then had to end it there with running out of enough potential lays left to start a strategy, so they end winning between 0.08 and 0.1 of a target...
Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £10
Total bank now £410
They were then left with an insufficient amount left to start a 4 runner strategy, so end it here.
Overall result. Win 0.1 of a target.
****************************************
Bank builder 5 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £8
Total bank now £408
That's where they finished with having an insufficient amount left to start a strategy.
Overall result. Win 0.08 of a target.
****************************************
'Traders' had to concede a little on the 5th runner at 2.1 max, but all others see them break level, or win a bit, so they walk away around levels, with one to go.......
So builders will breath a sigh of relief with walking away with a tiny win, so well played guys considering too many winners again. Traders ended levels, so they'll take that. Tough day, a good night's sleep and speak again in the morning..
Marc.

Afternoon.
Workings for this evening's racing then, as follows:
5.50 Newmarket. WINGWALKER (2.86)
Our price 12/5 (3.4) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.1 or under. *Please note that more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*
6.20 Newmarket. AGAINST THE RULES (3.0)
Our price 13/5 (3.6) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.3 or under. *Please note that a bit more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*
6.35 Haydock. PERSIAN PERIL (3.2)
Our price 5/2 (3.5) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.2 or under.
7.05 Haydock. SERVOKA (1.68)
Our price 8/11 (1.727) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.5, or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Please note that a little more emphasis has had to go on the early market for clues, concerning this race*
7.50 Newmarket. MEYDAN CITY (2.28)
Our price 7/5 (2.4) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.1, or under, we'll go in for a lay.
8.05 Haydock. ALONSO DE GUZMAN (1.84)
Our price Evens (2.0) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.7, or under, we'll go in for a lay.
8.35 Haydock. AMBER QUEEN (1.79)
Our price Evens (2.0) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.7, or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware, that although lightly raced, she has shown she can race up with the lead, so no surprise to see the same tactics applied for this evening*
All the races were priced up, with non runners taken into account, up until 4.14pm.
That's our work for this evening then. It seems we've entered one of those 'favourite winning' zones recently, so very tough for us, but it's swings and roundabouts and as long as we keep disciplined and taking the right prices, we'll always come out on top. Anyhow, a tough session ahead, but we'll not be scared and take our satchels along to see if we can win a bit. Good luck and speak soon.
