SUBJECT: Phumelela/Racing Association Knockout Soccer Tournament 2019

Nine teams from the Gauteng racing industry will do battle for top honours in this Sunday’s Knockout Soccer Tournament organised by Phumelela and the Racing Association. The champion team will win prize money of R10 000 and the runners up R5 000.
However, should the Randjesfontein Grooms team who are the two time defending champions win on Sunday, they will receive an additional bonus of R3000.
The nine teams vying to be the 2019 champions are:
1. Phumelela Racing Operations
2. NHRA Handlers
3. James Maree Workriders
4. Phumelela Betting
5. I’sizwe Hospitality
6. Randjesfontein Grooms
7. Vaal Grooms
8. Turffontein Grooms
9. EquiMotion
It is all systems go for the tournament organisers who have arranged sponsored team jerseys, medical services, refreshments and transport for the grooms from the Vaal and Randjesfontein. Trainers of grooms participating in the tournament are urged to kindly allow them to leave early to enable them to board the buses provided which depart from both Randjesfontein and the Vaal at 7am sharp. Trainers are also invited to attend the tournament to support their respective grooms’ teams.
Randjesfontein Grooms are champing at the bit and cannot wait to defend their title. Can they complete a hattrick of wins and carry the trophy back to Randjesfontein is the question that will be answered come Sunday.
